To those with email adresses, its probebly best to just put username@kiwibiker.co.nz . The only reason I say that is becuase of spiders and other spam fuckers getting hold of you.

hey spank, just an idea, how many forwarding addresses are you allowed, because we could intergrate it with GMAIL if you have unlimiting forwarding addresses I dont mind coding the logic and interface if you want? that way we could have unlimited amounts of addresses for the kiwibikies

Haha... you said 'ass' FOUR TIMES!!
SQL's good... but I'd imagine trying to run a site like this takes up a lot of time eh?

It's not an IMAP account
Setup a POP3 account using mail.kiwibiker.co.nz as your incoming and outgoing servers.
Then chuck in username and password assigned by spank... presto chango you're good to go.

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was xxx. Subject 'wrwehh', Account: 'mail.kiwibiker.co.nz', Server: 'mail.kiwibiker.co.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 <summer_devil2@hotmail.com>: Relay access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

The email service is not for sending (unless from the web interface) only for receiving. Just us your ISP's SMTP.

It let me send when I just used mail.kiwibiker.co.nz as the SMTP protocol.
Try making sure that you don't have SSL enabled in your account settings.
Go to tools, accounts, properties of your kiwibiker account, then servers, make sure the two bottom boxes are not ticked in there, then check advanced, and make sure neither of the SSL boxes are ticked there.
That should do it.
Spank... do you mean we can't send messages from Outlook or we shouldn't?

I never intended it to be used to relay mail, but if the volume is not excessive then it should be OK. Most KB mail is likely to be local (NZ) and this server is in the US. Also your ISP's SMTP relay is probably better setup to relay mail.

just to be clear for the rest, for sending emails, just use the same settings you have for any other email account you have set up. SO if you're with Xtra or Clear.net for eg, then get the SMTP server from that for sending emails (it'll still show as XX@kiwibiker.co.nz), and just have the incoming settings as the POP3 settings Spank has instructed you on.

No need when there's room for 3000. Hit the 1000 mark a couple of months back and cleaned out a hundred or two. Now that we can have 3000 i think that should last me a few years.

Im confused. I have a little mail icon at the top of my page. I click it and it enter my login name 'skelstar', and password '*****' and it error-pages saying 'Unknown user or password incorrect.'
Im assuming that since im a senior member and the icon exists, then I should have an account right?
Thanks in advance. :niceone:

I suspect that its obvious what my email address is eh? Almost had kittiens when I changed my email address on my KB account. The darn thing went on standby (sort of) and I could not look at anything nor post anything. Fortunately an automated email came my way and I was able to ?activate my account again. Had me going there for awhile...:brick:

Given that Mr Spank is no longer accepting PM's (or so it told me when I tried to send him one), who do I ask?
