Bit of a contrast eh?
This thing pulled up at work today - I thought it was a bit strange when the guy phoned and said he wanted to drop off "a few boxes" of stuff to us on his bike.....turns out he didn't even use half the luggage space available!

Makes the CBR look like a toy!

That's not so dumb - there are Leadw... sorry- Goldwings in the US of the A that have retractable trainer wheels that tuck up into the panniers. (For those whose feet don't quite reach the ground, or who are too decrepit to heft 793,248kg of bike.)

I had that when I first parked my ZX-10 next to the NZ-250. I knew the NZ was small, even for a 250, but the ZX made it look positively tiny !!

They're here in NZ too, there's a guy in the naki that's got one. they automatically come down when you stop then retract again as soon as you take off....... Hmmmm the ultimate in laziness???

(I hate myself for knowing so much about these buses.... but in my defence, I ride with a couple of guys who have them.)

Dropping them isn't a problem, they don't go far till they end up sitting on the side rails. You'ld be doing pretty well to tip one over... And if you do crash, I pity the poor cage driver you hit!

More like having your foot go from under you as you stop at the lights.
Or putting it into the garage and have it fall away from you...

Maybe I'm just a clumsy sod !!!!

You're just a little off the mark there. The 1500 'Wing weighs approx 400kg. As has been stated elsewhere in the thread, they don't fall over very far.

It is possible for one person to pick it up. Back up to it, grasp the pillion seat handle and the bars and then stand up, so you use you leg muscles to do the lifting. I know this coz I dropped mine in the dip at the top of the drive once :(

Well.....let me tell you - the guy that owns it is a BIG boy.....umm people who have met Big Dave will understand.......yeah. Anyway, he let it get away from him at a petrol station....it went over to about 45degrees then stopped....resting on the engine bars. It took the rider and a helpful assistant to get the bike upright again!

All in good fun though G - so if I get too big for my boots again, just do one of two things:

1. Yell out "DUCK!" (anyone who doesn't realise why i am afeared of flying birdies since a wee "incident" last year - search the forums!)

2. Kick the shit outta me! :bash:
