Also added to the Calendar is The Wanganui Toy Run on 11 December 2005 (next Sunday.) If you are in the area, turn up at the Race Course at 12pm. The ride departs at 1pm.

Finally the 21st annual Cambridge to Hamilton Child cancer Toy Run is being held on Saturday March 19 2006. This is the largest Toy run in NZ, and a great experience.

we could be there before 10am so we will leave together just after 10.
Then there is still time to view all the bikes assembling.

what I thought about thou is that if we meet up at the autoban. dont we have to go down turn around and go back up again?
what we COULD do is use the flag at the event? I mean thats what its for no?

That would only work if everyone arrived at the same time as the bikes are lined up ready for the start as one gets there, late comers will be farther back. Would be OK to meet and greet at the flag then assemble at the end of the run together if one wants to as there is more room to do so.

No Toys. Come up and say hi to me on the table - I am short on the wheel base with a cap full of badges.

Calling all KBers,

The current record for the WestPac Ride is 1500 bikes.:gob: This could be your chance to help exceed that figure. It looks like the Weather God is playing ball, so let's fill Karaka with bikes tomorrow morning.:ride:

Remember to tuck your wallet in your leathers. Badges are $10 and T-shirts $20. Scorpygirl will sell you one in an instant. Just approach the short wheelbase lady:whistle: at the table and wave your money.

I will wearing a black floppy hat covered in badges and marshalling at the start, so all KBers are more than welcome to have a chat.

Good Bye,

Everyone please go away now.........

It's always an Anticlimax.

Anyone going to a nice place afterwards ?

Nice sight, pity I lost a fucken cylinder riding in there, just past the East Tamaki turn off. You lot would of seen a Red Hyosung (beautiful thing, you would of noticed it for sure) on the side of the road shinning in the sun.

Crap in the fuel jets or some along those lines. The AA guy was a rider and the towie was one too, hows that for luck? Had a good chat to the towie all the way home.

I saw some homo on a scraped up 250 waiving, kinda looked like tristans bike!!

An awesome day and thanks to all Kbers who turned up and supported the charity ride. The ride was definitely much slower down the motorway than in previous years - which on a hot day like today was not the best for bikes or riders!!! We sold all the T-shirts and took a stack of orders for badges. Seeing the chopper again this year was great too.

Well done to everyone!!!

Nah he didn't fall off but his foot slipped of the peg and hurt himself on the wheel, He walked away allright, although with a limp. He's off to the doc. Haven't heard anything after that yet.

So that was you. Bad luck. I slowed down, but the AA dude gave me a thumbs up, so I figured it was all as under control as it could be and carried on.
'Twas a good ride, lots of friendly spectators, lots of waving, kids love it when you wave back.

Bit slow, especially as Phoebe doesn't like very slow speeds, cos the oil pump doesn't work if you slip the clutch. But that's a minor gripe. See Allun got a photo of her, she'll be crowing over that to the other bikes in the gargre.

Nearly didn't make it after a contretemps with lost keys, frantically swapping a T500 ignition switch into the GT500 at 9:30 - they're not the same but a bit of soldering and it's all good. A furious blat down the motorway (I deny everything, if anyone saw me) got me there just in time.

Apologies to anyone who I smoked out - that slow running followed by acceleration is a bit problematic on a two smoker - tends to make a bit of smoke.

Thanks to all the organisers for a very good day out.

EDIT - It was good to see the 150's and 250's, GNs and such like soming along. And the scooters, too. Pity there wer'nt too many classic Brits, I expect they were all down at Pukekohe. Saw a couple of nice small unit Triumphs, and a very nice AJS twin.

That was fun! Never seen so many bikes in one place at one time, and lots of shiny toys to look at! No grumpys, no silly little old buggers in white coats, no real idiots on the road, and you had to love the little dog in the front pack on one bike, and the newfie in the sidecar!
Me and my missus got the last 2 tshirts but 2, (didn't win any prizes in the raffle though...were there ANY 900s in that bucket).
Where was the KB flag?
Nice leisurely ride home, no silly buggers anywhere on SH1 or 1B, we'll be back next year!
Two thumbs up to Ulysses for organising it, and ya gotta give Auckland drivers credit for their patience. Today anyway......

Hi all,

Was a great day for the ride. Many thanks to all the KBers for turning up. I may not have got to chat with many, but I saw everyone as they arrived at Karaka.

The ride was a lot slower than previous years (don't know why.) Didn't worry the 'Wing, but I was thinking that some of the air-cooled bikes may have got quite hot.

You folks obviously took my comment about bringing your wallet along to heart, as SG and the rest of the ladies sold out of badges and t-shirts.

Well done KBers, take a bow.

Saw you were sat next to it when we went back past so gave a quick wave, plus the AA guy was parked up by the northbound onramp checking everyone out. Hope it doesnt turn out to be anything too major.

About 1200 MadMax. But I would have guessed more as they seemed to be coming into AUT for ages. We raised $11,000 for the Chopper but this could increase a bit once all monies are counted. The new suits for the chopper team look really cool!!!

Ah, hey thanks for stopping, it was lucky with the AA guy, he was a rider himself and was able to suss it out pretty quickly. However like most people, didn't know what the fuck a Hyosung was!

Had a couple of other people stop, one guy started talking to my missus about public toliets. Suppose he was a bit special?

Was great to watch the bikes though, some of those big bikes like the voyagers and goldwings looked mamoth compared to all the other bikes. 'Twas a beautiful site, pity it was from the other side of the road!

What happened to the majority of bikes once the ride was over? I imagine a few went Puhoi way.

Fantastic day, bike didn't fall apart after the hurried engine transplant last week, although I still didn't have second gear, which would have been quite handy today.

Great to meet people, although trying to find someone I know amongst 2000 people was a bit of a challenge at times. Still finding out who people are.

Spent about 5 minutes looking for my at the start.

Even the tractor came out to play.
Notice the front wheel is off the ground, does massive burnouts, wondered what the huge black marks on the road were when we turned up.

Had a really good ride up to Puhoi via Coatesville/Riverhead, SH16 and Westcoast/Woodcocks road. I managed to get on the edge of my tyre with a pillion :shit: even tristan was a bit WTF as i was leaving tread lines on every corner :weird:

Cheers to Noel for the drinks at Puhoi and a very belated Happy Birthday to Christine! Good to see you working that VFR hard :2guns:

Even the tractor came out to play.
Notice the front wheel is off the ground, does massive burnouts, wondered what the huge black marks on the road were when we turned up.

This rocked. Haven't laughed so much for ages!:niceone:

Yes  but the beast didn't like the slow ride too much, most speed is just between 1st and 2nd gear, I was wearing Leather, black helmet, gloves and boots, the heat from the 1850cc flat six plus the sun was :sweatdrop (the radiator fan was almost blasting at all time too)

However, I really enjoy the event, nice to catch up with some old friends and great to see so many nice bikes

Well who ever that Brian PRATT is.........
I sure hope that they or any of their family members, won't need to rescued and transported in the Westpac Helicopter at all, in their lifetime/s, after that comment. Man some people are so up themselves, that it aint even funny.

I bet by now after moaning and groaning to his mates (if he has any) and found out why there were 1200 motorbikes holding him up from him getting his latte and parking space for 10 minutes.. he should be now be feeling like a PRATT and hopefully be ridiculed by his so called mates and co-workers. I hope he feels real dumb about now.. the idiot.

Well, we WERE asking for it.....being all loud, arrogant, and ill-mannered (according to the PRATT)

How dare we raise some money for a good cause??? I would have stayed away if I'd known I was going to inconvenience PRATTS for 10 minutes or so....his latte would have been getting cold!

10 minutes, 10 minutes......Hmmm..... 10 minutes waiting on the side of the road.....or an hour waiting for an ambo to get to you somewhere where a chopper would be able to get in within....let's say for example - 10 minutes...

Some people live in a very small world huh?

What an arrogant piece of S.... BIG PRATT!!! :brick: His name says it all really!

I think all of you have said it all. Damned if you do and damned if you don't!!

Some people - what is 10 minutes!! You are a long time dead. :headbang:

Like to see him try to raise $11,000 for a charity.

I second that Scorpy.... his loose change spent on parking and coffee could be easily spent donating to a good cause... considering he only lives in parnell..... why didnt he walk to the coffee shop??? or use his own expensive percolator at home?

A whole 10 minutes!!!!!

And imagine those evil anti social bikers actually accelerating on the road while they had the right of way.
This is the end of civilisation as we know it.

Or is it????
