cant wait till i can stradle my gurl again.....the biggest problem is the exhaust, now tell me someone is there any rues or guidelines to making my own down pipes? my old mans a crack shot at this stuff and he's an engineer by trade but wants to know if its legal to make the down pipes or repair the kinks in them.

May aswell order new forks. As far asI am aware once the forks are bent that's it for them.

Smythe & Yeates in Cambridge straighten forks if they're not too fooked. Do very classy work. Not cheap though but cheaper than new uns. I'm pretty sure F1 Engineering in Hamilton do too.

No legal problems. If they were fouling parts of the bike or summat maybe but if they're decently made you'll have no problem with WOF compliance. Muffler(s) could be a different matter but you're talking about headers, right?

Ducatilover, if you do find anything out about the headers and your dad does make some good ones, let me know. Front header for my bike is a bit too corroded to just be rechromed so need a new one.

your forks should be ok to be straightened, i had a set of fork straightened off a honda once & was told first hand by a Honda mechanic that out of the Jap bikes honda forks were the ones that usually could be done without any concern ( actually i think 90% of their forks are built by SHOWA anyhow)

as for building-up new header pipes length is the most important factor, preferably a close to equal length as possible for each cylinder & also length & curvature of bends determines power

i plan to use the existing zorst as a plan, but its a wee bit [understatement] bent, i still want the can though but thats a bit hammered too, its a moriwaki system and i dont think its been re-jetted.....i can fix that:msn-wink:

also i was looking at getting some cbr600f2 or f3 forks but thats probably out of my budget so i'll get the legs straitened and new springs and heavier oil in them.... i was cleaning the rear wheel and noticed that its an enkei item, and so is the front, but its an 18 inch so there aint many tires that'll fit on it.... and i need new tires.

michelen macadam 100x
pirrelli mtr23 gragon gts [front] and mtr24 rear...
IRC protech sp10r and sp11f.... current tires.

the sizes are 120/70 17
150/60 18... though a 160/60 18 wouldnt be bad

Does anybody know what the ltsa rules are for putting aftermarket headlights or non-stock headlights onto your bike?
