Hey, brand new to the forums, and brand new to riding as well... had my first actual bike ride last wednesday on my friends farmbike, and had another ride yesterday. I really love riding now, and I hate my cage. Hoping to get my licence soon, sell my cage, and then get a Suzuki GSX250.
Hope to meet some Hamilton riders sometime, even though I'll still be trapped in a cage for a while :(

Howdy Y'all and villcommen. The site has many nuts about twice as many as a bar full of bikers. Enjoy the ride the scenery is free.
GSX's are good little bikes, just be aware they are addictive.....:ride:

Hi, welcome. Go do a one day "zero to learners" course somewhere then go fishing for bikes. LOTS of 250's on the market at the moment :)

Thanks for all the welcomes... and yes, i'm finding these KB forums damn addictive... spent about 5+ hours on them today :p
Arggh.... just need to save some money and get my licence, and then get rid of my stupid big slow cage and buy a bike, then I'll be happy :)
My first ride (last wednesday), i was a bit nervous, driving around on my friends farm, and the back road he lives on in Te Kauwhata (north of Huntly), but yesterday, my 2nd ride was so much better... got fully into it, was practicing all the BHS things i read about, especially the weaving bit... GOD BIKING ROCKS!!!!

Odd, no one from Hamilton replied yet.
Welcome to the site mate. There are quite a few here from your area. I have a list of most of them (so those that are from the area better post up because I know who you are!!!)
Anyway, try and contact Momentum, cause he has a newbies ride thing he's trying to orginize. Sure someone there would be able to take you pillion so that you can still learn all the pearls-o-wisdom that the Ulysses members have to offer.
Anyone else find it odd that several new members from Hamilton join just after I leave? Were they afraid of me or something?
