Hello, I'm a newbie to this site and looking for a good two-stroke mechanic to rebuild an RZ500.
Does anyone know a good mechanic, preferably in Wellington?
Cheers in advance

Read up enough about it and you can rebuild it yourself - you will save around $600-800 (for a top-end rebuild...). 2-strokes are very simple compared to 4-strokes, you shouldn't ever have to go to a mechanic. Look at www.nsr-world.com, there's some good info there and a step-by-step guide. ;)

Pretty near. I've gone decidedly green.

i used to have one in the gararge....
i was looking after it for a mate who was over seas at the time..(bit like the turbo!!)
i just had to take it out every now and then to check that there was air in the tryes, the ONLY way i could do that was to take it to the garage at the OTHER end of the street...... rai valley just happened to get in the way once:shifty: ....
this had a slick, leaking fuel tank, and fuckin fast....
shame i moved and had to rehome it.....

Boyles by the Basin reserve could be a starter , they were good with two strokes in the past.
