Sitting on the beach at Taupo I heard the loud scream of abused truck tyres.
I looked up in time to see a Curtain Side semi truck n trailer unit diving for the median of the road then the trailer came round and jackknifed to the left
A loud crunch and a 4x4 got swatted by the semi trailer.
I ran over thinking this was gonna be pretty messy.
Turns out noone was more than lightly bruised and shaken up.
But the cage drivers comment to the trucky -- Ohh baby she was a classic.
"sorry mate I diddnt see ya"
Seeems he pulled out of a sidestreet right in front of the truck.
Now that clown is shareing the roads with us --If he cant see a frigging 30 tonne semi what chance do us bikers stand.

Yep, it's a jungle out there - even if the self-inflicted stuff (bins etc) don't get you the Random Act of Idiocy of Other Twats (R.A.I.O.T.) will

Stay alive people.

like the pasty white boy today in his van, flys around the dog leg right at the lights in the outside lane and cos hes going so fast ends up in my lane;

I slam on then pull up to his window as hes driving along and ask hin what the fuck he thinks hes doing...

his reply - Sorry mate didnt see ya, but if you hadnt been speeding it wouldnt have been a problem.

I told the fucker to pull up so i could slap him....he declined unfortunately:eyepoke:

saw another idiot today-must be the season for it --late model mitzi tiny hatch down a bank right on the only roundabout on triangle road in Massey.
It is just plmb impossible to go down that bank even if you were going at 70
the skid marks in a straight line 50m back from and right through the roundabout told the story.

On the bright side... theyy'll have learned a lesson AND they're off the road for a bit
On the down side, they may have sustained an injury and their faculties will be worse than they were...!

I guess we need to rely on our superior accelration, braking and manoov... manoeur... ability to steer! :niceone:

edit - I saw a guy in a black mitsi down Tamaki Drive the other day - he pulled out and was driving right up my bum... following me from lane to lane as I tried to let him pass. Then he turned on the red and blue lights ... BUGGER...

Highway 1 motorway, there is this geezer in a Range Rover trying to see inside the boot of the car in front......Posh geezer gets impatient, decides to move into middle lane but is so fucking close almost hits the car in front as he changes lanes and wobbles....his brain stem that is....plus

My mate stops for a car on a bridge. She has right of way but car already on bridge. Car passes she goes onto bridge and another car does not give way and head on crash and she goes over he car.....bashed and bruised but bike a total....reckons the engine covers (BMW saved her legs)....

Saw a guy in a skyline rear-end two guys in a city or summit on the way to work this morning. Had stopped to fill up with gas, heard the crunch, and looked up to see the guy in the skyline swerve out round from behind the city and take off into the distance. I tried to run out to the foot path to get his rego as he drove off but with all my gear on wasnt quite quick enough. There's some wankers out there - be carefull.

Yesturday I was out on a ride with some of the Auckland Harley Owners Group and while we were parked at a little fish and chip shop on state 2 north of Bethlehem. There was a slight right hand bend uphill with a intersection on the left hand side. There was a van at the give way sign about to pull out on to state 2 when a guy on a BMW K1100 (boxer) came straight over the traffic island so fast that he was air born and left skidd marks on the road when he landed. straight across the kerb and in between two harleys where he dropped the BMW. He was lucky as there were 15 harley park in the OFF road carpark and he on left a slight mark on on for the harleys exhuasts. It just happen that this guy had not had the BMW for long and had just got a ticket at Bethlehem for speeding, 40 something over the limit and $500. You would have thought that he may have slowed down for a bit.

We put it down to someone with a bike they could handle and that he was too busy looking at the bikes going in the corner.

We all know that in corners you go where you look!

one guy on a beemer on a ride i went on with ulysses, came over a rise in the back of marton and binned it. i dunno how he managed it, blind rise with a fairly steep drop down the otherside of it, most of us crawled over that. hadnt had the bike long, so i guess too much power too soon.

got cut off by an old granny today going over a bridge after work. she didnt even look in my direction, just went. i used the horn [talk about a rain drop in an ocean for all the good that did!] and then sat on her ass before passing on the left as she turned up a side street.

also nearly got belted as a car on the forecourt decided to reverse with no brakes and backing lights. was following them going to work...bad drivers. some cagers piss me riiiight off. might as well be blind for all the looking they do.

I was intrigued by the story in the latest BRM where the reviewer and his pillion got taken out whilst test riding a Goldwing. That was at Taupo too... Good luck, some skill, great bike.

Hard to miss him--Its a grey 4x4 with a very unusual crease running the entire length of the side of the vehicle
