Very good smarty pants.....but are you the big cheese of the smarty pants can you put a year to each bike?
And for a bonus s/p point can you name the motor that went into the Bimota?

Yes it came down here from Auckland, my mate sold it last year and I think that its up for sale again.
SPman: as for the vibs on the BB1 well, cos the balance shaft was removed to make it lighter..... about 1/2 an hour into a ride ya arse is warming up due to the under seat pipe and its starting to get sore thanks to the vibration. One hour into the ride you cant feel a thing, why? ya bum is numb as, and you begin to realy injoy the supermono ride.
This bike is a thrill to ride heaps of power for a single (still @ 48hp) and with the impecable handling (22* fork rake & fuel tank in the belly pan) a wicked bike to biff around the hills. But as for touring.....emm hope that your not a tall bastard :apint:

But whats the guzzi like to ride?
Well the Guzzi……. This most certainly is a brand like no other, once you have sorted out all the silly little problems that MG cant be bothered sorting like bad earthing relays and diff presserising due to bad quality control then you are away laughing.
You cant just jump on one of these preastric push rod bikes, it takes a few miles to get comfortable and get used to the side ways motion mixed with the shaft.
The power isn’t much for an 1100 (90hp) but the toque more than makes up for it. This and the 5spd straight cut gear box gets you into the first corner first from the start grid. (I then woss out on the breaking) but the breaks are the best I have ever used they are huge discs.
With the upside down White Power forks and W/P rear (injected only) the handling is great although the wait of the bike makes for hard work..
With a replacement chip (stock is shit) and a pair of Mistral cans and cross over you get the best sound (not noise) ever. It’s a great bike for touring with a big stretch forward, but the legs get a little bit cramped after a while (500+k’s)
The puter (inj only) is bit of a slow thinker so if you come down of the open road and pull over the bike idles rough and you need to leave it running for a min so as on restart it doesn’t think its still doing 100kph (wrong timing and fuel mix) all typical Italian behavior.
In all an awesome bike but you will either like it or not, a Jap bike is by far a more perfect bike, BUT it isn’t an Italian bike.

Anybody on a red Guzzi like the one in the picture that has an AGV Q3 helmet with some small scratches on the left cheek and a big one on the top?
This is quite urgent.
If there is, and the AGV Q3 is second hand you bought somewhere, it might have been mine that was stolen from the city.
Just a bit of warning: I would not recommend riding hard with it on your head. The helmet had been involved in a big crash with head impact 4 years ago, and the time it was stolen I was only wearing it in emergency (i.e., slow traffic and no other helmet available).

Not me bud, I weir a Lazer and the sports are far and few down here, theres only one other inj in red and a couple in nero black plus a yellow. Theres a few carbies around. Why do you think its acompening a sport like mine? are Moto Guzzi riders the dodgy type or something?
One more thing the a/h that took it, deserves to to stack up and end up with a hole in his head (well a bloody good head ach anyway)

OK, GPZ Circa '82? Guzzi is '97, first of the injected? I'd say the GSX is probably a '97-98? Impulse'd have to be maybe 83? TL Thou's a bit tough 'cause I can't quite tell the colour but if it's the blue I'd say 2000. No friggin idea on the Bimota but I did know it had a Rotax/BMW single. Stab in the dark, '98.

No, mate. Just happened to see the guy twice in the city with the helmet and same bike (I presume. I don't know much about guzzis) as yours so I might as well give the warning out. Just don't want people to die because of not knowing it or because of buying 2nd hand helmets. Cool bro.
