Okay, How many of you have done the seals on your TL? Mine are leaking and need sorting pronto. Is it worthwhile doing them myself of is the upsidedown thing just too much of a pain in the arse and best done in the shop. I await your informed comment!

It depends on your mechanical skills. The tricky bit is compressing the fork so you can get the nut off the end of the rod. I made up a plate and used a couple tie-downs to squeeze it up.

If you are still coming to grips with working on your bike I wouldn't attempt it unless you have someone to hold your hand.

If you consider yourself pretty competent and have a well equiped toolbox then go for it.

Download the workshop manual to get the blow by blow. Can't remember the details as it was quite some time ago I did mine - maybe someone else on the site knows some shortcuts.

I remember on TL planet there was some pretty good step by steps on how to do it, in the end I decided to take of the forks and just drop them into the shop myself, would probably be okay if you had all the tools
