Nothing is wrong with the current one but it has a mean paint job so i want something i can put on that it won't matter to much if I have a small untercation with the black stuff....
And I am looking for something cheapish not like $500 for an origional.
Shouldn't you be doing some work or uni work or something :dodge::dodge:

tried the wrecker yards? Atomic have hundreds of tanks..
have you thought much about the frame and engine? If you biff it bad enough to screw the tank up, it's gonna hit the frame and engine at the same time.. unless you're sticking a stunter cage on it..

why dont you do what im thinking of doing.... get someone to fabricate you an allumninium tank thats only say 2 or 3L, then just make a fibre glass cover in the shape of your tank. That way all you need is the fuel pump/tap and materials to make the rest.
Look on ebay otherwise...

2-3 litres will disappear pretty damn quick on a race track. I can only just get 1 20minute session out of my NC30 and that has a 4 litre tank on it.

fair enough, well the idea is there, but the tank doesnt need to be massive is what im saying.

I have a tank off a 2005 gsx 250 that im keen to get rid of. Its got a very small dent on it where a builder dropped a bit of wood on it. Otherwise mint. Ive taken the gas cap off it but.

Jonno you morron, it's pretty easy to see that a 2005 GSX250 tank is not going to even remotely fit.
And as for making a small tank with a fiberglass cover, how strong is fibreglass to sit on while crash landing a wheelie?

Buy mikeys bike for 3.5k, and you'll have a whole bike worth of spares. (exept l/h footpeg bracket and indicators)

The point is I don't have 3.5k
Oh an WT ya tubby bastard I know the 250 tank wont fit there is a cheapish vfr1000 tank on TM at the moment so I just need to know if anyone nkow if it'll fit... I might be able to get hold of a 97 ZX6R tank as well so will that do the trick??

Jono just buy one that is fucked already but you can still mount it on the bike, i asume you want a tank to knock in for when you are sitting on it, so what does it matter if it has a decent ding in it anyways if you're just gonna attack it with a hammer, just as long as it dont got no holes in it.
The chances of a ZX6 or VFR tank fitting aren't pretty good, stick with a GSXR tank

Yeh but I can't find any damaged gixxer ones... that's the problem. Coincidently my mate is willing to give me the zx6r one so Ill go over there one weekend and see if we can get it to fit..... Will have to spray it roughly to get rid of the kawa stickers though hahahahahaha
