The wind is howling right now. Take the back roads or shelter areas. Be careful people.

Got up this morning, opened the curtains and said 'bugger that for a lark'. It was blowing a hoolie at 7:30 and pissistantly raining. Heard the forcast for the afternoon and decided not to take the chance.
I sat on the train coming home looking at the white caps on the top of the 4-5 foot swell in the harbour and decided that I'd made the right decision.

There are reasons for having a heavy bike in Wellington.

LOL no. Be prepared for another sideways rollercoaster Wellington landing. I just love them, almost as much as listening to all the softcocks grunting gasping vomiting and hyperventilating throughout the cabin. I always get strange looks from fellow passengers once the plane has stopped and everybody's calmed down, I think its because I normally crack up laughing at some point in the proceedings at some nob end who's been going "EEEERGH GH GH GH HER HER HER MMMMM GH HER" for the last five minutes.

Once I got clear of the homo cagers and was able to get some reasonable speed on I stopped getting blown all over the place. I actually like riding in inclement weather. That will probably all change when I get a shinier bike though.

I had to remove some seriously wrecked limbs from a pohutakawa before the crashed down into powerlines....that wind is really picking up in places, not fun to climb in

Wild night, heavy rain but didn't seem too bad until I got up this morning and saw 2 branches snapped off our Elm tree
Listening to the news report on the radio they reported an 8 hour ferry crossing with one passenger sustaining broken ribs and and other with a broken arm. Must have been plenty of :puke: going on.
Been on one of those crossings where the bow was dissapearing under the water and the whole ship was shuddering cause the props were in the air driving nothing.
EDIT: Local fire station alarm has just gone off again.
