Severe weather warning for Welly tonight

Just got it through on the Council fax....going to head home shortly before me and my ZX-10 struggle to keep a lane on the motorway.

Take extra care everyone that is riding home tonight here in the Capital.

The wind is howling right now. Take the back roads or shelter areas. Be careful people.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Got up this morning, opened the curtains and said 'bugger that for a lark'. It was blowing a hoolie at 7:30 and pissistantly raining. Heard the forcast for the afternoon and decided not to take the chance.
I sat on the train coming home looking at the white caps on the top of the 4-5 foot swell in the harbour and decided that I'd made the right decision.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

It was pretty gusty when I was coming back to Teh Hutt, 5:15-5:45, some serious drift happening.

There are reasons for having a heavy bike in Wellington.

That's 12 hours from now, but I can confirm that it is still shithouse weather round my way.

We are apparently getting waves 8-10 metres high and winds of up to 125 kmh.... all ferrys are cancelled and the next one is due to leave 8.30 am tomoro morning. So I dont know, looks iffy......

LOL no. Be prepared for another sideways rollercoaster Wellington landing. I just love them, almost as much as listening to all the softcocks grunting gasping vomiting and hyperventilating throughout the cabin. I always get strange looks from fellow passengers once the plane has stopped and everybody's calmed down, I think its because I normally crack up laughing at some point in the proceedings at some nob end who's been going "EEEERGH GH GH GH HER HER HER MMMMM GH HER" for the last five minutes.
