Because you need to subscribe to it.

The amazing fact that was learnt during the initial debate was that "it's quite unwise to run".
However, there are regular additions to the thread who spout off shit (the katman theory) which avoid the initial thread conclusion of "unwise to run".

Subscribe.
Enjoy.

Is there such thing as an expert's guide to runners?

Only if you count those of us who have tried it as "experts" ...

It bored me after the first sentence. I skimmed over the rest of it and I found no interest in it at all. Madboy can do what he wants... Some get away with it, others don't, some get a one way trip to the morgue and others get to post their experiences on kiwibiker forums. Like I said before, every dog has his day, for better or worse, it depends on what cards you're dealt on the day.

Having read through this thread, I find this post ^ seems pretty close to summing up the deal..

Bad-as bikers gonna do what they're gonna do, FTW.. & get away with the consequences, or not..
For me, ( on a bike) it always has been an option, sometimes taken, & never yet regretted, unlike stopping.. to eat the shit..

Apparently if you're 'suicidal' running can work:

I got excited when I saw that, I'd read it as 214mph. Was very underwhelmed when I realised my mistake. OK the dude was speeding, but suicidal?

A week ago, after 9.00PM, I was stopped at a check point and breath tested, no problem. The next day the weather was brilliant so I sallied forth to Mokau at speed, on the basis that the cops would all be having the day off. Near enough - a great day, a nice ride, and no :Police: anywhere to be seen.

Hell, don't even bother running, its easy as fuck to get away with anything up to murder on our roads.
Like this rich chick from ChCh, you just need to grab a good lawyer $$$ and claim that you suddenly realized you have Profound Dissociative Spectrum Disorder!...of course it wasn't bad enough to stop a NZ driver license from being issued, but its good enough to get you off killing an innocent road user, due to blatant careless driving and not paying attention to the road.

...Sorry, it was my PDSD your honor

(after the latest road toll...makes ya wonder if the fuckin genius's have figured out that maybe its time we started to TEACH people how to drive...instead of just a basic test and learn the rest as ya go!...but we WILL of course still hold you to standards that you have never actually been taught!!...cos PROFIT!! comes first, NOT actual road safety!)

This is where the system needs to be on to it. Ok, you have a medical condition (as testified in court, complete with expert witnesses) that means you are unable to drive until it has been cured or under management and we'll need a suitable medical certificate at that point.

But no... we'll find you not guilty due to a medical condition, but you can keep driving and it could easily happen again :weird:

you can't deny her her licence, that would be taking away her civil rights, once you have broken the law you suddenly have three times more civil rights than anyone else. Or so it seems anyway

Just goes to show how completely out of touch the police are:

Other road users expected everyone to adhere to the speed limit
Considering that most are above it, I doubt this very much.

there was no hope for anyone if they collided head-on at that speed.
I know of one rider in a head on at 230kph came out with only two broken thigh bones.

And I know of one rider that fell off his bike going around a 40kph corner and died. So there.

Which only goes to prove my point. The actual speed often has little to do with the outcome.

Quite possibly the stupidest fucken post I've ever read on here. If you're not into masturbation, and don't want to tell the world about your "runners" why the fuck would you post them on a public forum?

You're a cock and I wouldn't mind seeing a video coz I think you're so full of shit, you don't have the skills or the balls to take on the cops. I'm pissed off.

Fucken prove me wrong.

yes I understand the name title.....

Balls ... a licence is not a civil right ... if it was a civil rite no-one would have to pass a test to get one ..

And don't go all bullshit over the law favouring the criminal .. crims get locked up - victims don't ..

What if you're out in the twisties and there is only 1 road, they can call their buddies to block the road 30kms ahead.

It was a nice read without taking it too seriously and getting all emotional about it.

Reading the article, it sounded like she didn't know she had it until after the accident. The whole thing sounds a bit suss to me but that isn't what the judge found...

Victims of crime live with it for the rest of their lives....Crims get out in a shorter time if they are good.
Moral differences between the two groups must play a part in the 'Getting over it' part of the crime also.

Case and point.....That kiddie fiddling music teacher from Hawkes bay.....Got 3 years and was out in 15 months in the mean time the girl he touched up while teaching her will never ever trust any man in any position of authority again.

Her own type of prison she can never leave....

No comparison in my view sorry.....

When I read it my first impression was that the woman was a personal friend if the judge, or at least moved in the same social circle. Not being unduly cynical, it does happen.

Anyone who runs needs to be shot with a ball of their own shit. You do the crime you do the time.

Why put other peoples lives at risk just because you can't take the heat. If you don't want to take the heat then don't do it in the first place. I have no sympathy at all for those that run and then kill themselves trying to avoid police. One less idiot on the road. When they kill others and survive themselves then they should be locked away for life.
