I got excited when I saw that, I'd read it as 214mph. Was very underwhelmed when I realised my mistake. OK the dude was speeding, but suicidal?

A week ago, after 9.00PM, I was stopped at a check point and breath tested, no problem. The next day the weather was brilliant so I sallied forth to Mokau at speed, on the basis that the cops would all be having the day off. This is where the system needs to be on to it. Ok, you have a medical condition (as testified in court, complete with expert witnesses) that means you are unable to drive until it has been cured or under management and we'll need a suitable medical certificate at that point.

But no... we'll find you not guilty due to a medical condition, but you can keep driving and it could easily happen again :weird:

When I read it my first impression was that the woman was a personal friend if the judge, or at least moved in the same social circle. Not being unduly cynical, it does happen.

Why put other peoples lives at risk just because you can't take the heat. If you don't want to take the heat then don't do it in the first place. I have no sympathy at all for those that run and then kill themselves trying to avoid police. One less idiot on the road.
