3 grand for a plate!! yowzaz!
But the guy on the other end of the phone at the plates place said as it was this one, it was unable to ever be repeated so it was a collectors item. And it would be worth about $3000 on the open market. So just going with what he said!
And its negotiable, everything in life is - so if you are up for it - talk the talk!:blip:

... it was unable to ever be repeated so it was a collectors item...

Isn't that the whole idea, one of a kind for all registration plates, general issue or personalised? Guess that makes them all collectors items...

Its not even a cool plate though......how can you be asking $3k for it.
And your right dude this should have been posted in jokes and humour

A brief search into being a "collectors plate" revealed that you have been BULLSHITTED. It is a common occurance and is often mistaken for FOOLED, but this was a deliberate ruse to get you to think exactly what you are thinking now.

Why pay for someone elses plate name, when you can make your own up for $500ish.
I got my initials on mine but Im reluctant to put it on the bike cause its too easy to remember ;)

Aren't bike plates are only allowed to be 6 letters long so YZZAHS can't ever be used with a number or anything. The only possible other combinations are to replace the A with a 4 and S with a 5. But they're gay. So it's unique using a slightly broader definition of the word (which is what the man on the end of the phone was using)

Bikes and Trailers are only allowed to be 5 letter / number cominations. Depending on the actual letters or numbers chosen you can get 1/2 spaces to give the appearance of a space.

I brought my first personal plate back in 98, OILEK, for my Triumph 66, cost was $495, when I sold the bike I sold the plate, with the value hitting high of extra fiver, I guess the extra that would of been paid was used for the extra oil. Each to there own sweetie, now if it was SANGWA or WANGTO blah blah you might make a bit of dosh. If in doubt try Trademe.

YZZAHS.
Shame one can't attach such a plate to one's bike.

23rd April 2006, 17:49
someone might buy it if you asked for the same price that you can get them for.
but a personal plate should be just that personal.

Hey the plate is for a car, and not a bike as you who are switched on have realised.
And I am really keen on getting this bike so if you wish to offer me $1000 for the CAR plate I would take you up on it.
Cheers
