Hi folks,
Some of you may or may not know Dominic, he is the laid back shaggy haired top bloke from Invercargill that Shaun Harris has tenderly nurchured throughout the last few seasons at nationals.
Dom raced in the AMA superbikes yesterday at Barber Motorsports Park - Birmingham, AL, anyway for those of you who don't know how he went, he qualified 32nd and finished the race in an awsome 27th!! I havent talked to him yet but I am sure he is pretty happy, first AMA race and first time at track as far as I know!!
not bad I say, good stuff Dom!!!

Shaun, have you talked to him? can you add anything to this?

dang thats not too bad. Some pretty big names he was racing against, matt maladin, roger hayden (nicky's bro), neil hodgson (ex world superbike world champ). Man that is awesome, only upwards from here.

I see he's racing superstock too, qualified 25th for that, race later tonight our time (I think). Although I don't know how stock those bikes are seeing as the pole sitter was only 0.5s down on the fastest superbike guy.

Go dom!!!!

Edit: Just worked out that his races are at 5.30am (superstock) and 9.00am (superbikes) tomorrow morn NZ time. Check out here (http://www.amasuperbike.com/round.php?UID=8XjciWhvRNcPwX0CKPKPK67dAseMPh&sc=1228&year=2006&number=2) to watch the live timing
