Ride to Whitianga Sat 8th May 2004

It is a year ago to the very weekend that I went on my very first Kiwibiker ride. I went with CK, and Mike as well as joining up with BabyB. I remember we rode out to Whitianga for lunch. In those days I was on my 150, I was so slow but I really enjoyed myself!

Since then, I’ve been on countless Kiwibiker rides, changed bike, met heaps of really cool bikers and made some really strong friends while having fun all the way.

As an ‘anniversary type’ ride I’ll be doing the exact same thing again. The gameplan will be to meet up at Autobahn for 9am, leave 9.20.

Lunch in Whitianga and then cruise back to Auckland for late afternoon. The pace for this ride will be very much a cruisey one so I won’t be trying to race at least.

Good riding with you Andrew, BBoy, VT Raver, and FFight (for a while anyway). Home safe & sound by 3pm, which was my plan. You rode well Andrew, keep up the good work...like I said "you'll be dangerous (in a good sense) on a bigger bike one day!". :eek:

sadly not dude. bike was in the garage most of the weekend actually. too many commitments to go riding.
