Yesterday some tosspot (I'll remain nameless) didn't THINK.

He walked in, bought some wet weather gear and didn't consider all his requirements and bought the wrong thing (Cuffs were too small to go over the gloves he wears...

So this morning he rocks up feeling stupid (and one would) and wants to what we do about it. The dude behind the counter (not Alistair) bends over backwards (keeps your pants on Maurice) to help, no hassles, no worries... done done and done.

Jesus guys... this customer service thing's a worry... it's like you guys have read a book on it or somethin'...

Sounds like you'd enjoy the service from Cyclespot alot better.

"yeah hi i'm after a new set of gloves".......

"well if you take a look over here we have a brand new repsol blade with your name on it"

"does it come free with the gloves?"

You missed the next bit:
"Free? Get real!
Now - if you'll just give us all your money, sign these papers, then bend over. This won't hurt.

How come some shops have such brilliant customer service while others have poor or almost un-speakable service, yet still remain in business?

My good deed for the day, young guy looking at spending around $300 on a set of speakers for his car, just quietly asked him how bad did he want these? See tomorrow we've got a 20% everything sale, he'll save himself $60! My way of thinking is I could have taken his morning today and he'd be pissed when he saw the adverts and probably not buy anything else off us, or he'll be stoked and buy more from us as we're good bastards!

Yeah I buy all my gear from treads, because its big and you can ride your bike into the shop, that takes the cake. Acutually thats a lie, I took the cake from a 5 year old. And I ate it.

Go to Phil Turnbulls in Palmerston North. They are really good. Treat you with respect even though you dont know anything.

I've been there twice (everytime I go down to parmy I break something) and I've really liked their service.
