My research (based on studying hundreds of millions of years of climate history) suggests the earth will experience a period of global cooling.
I am continuing to work on when this will happen, but I am reasonably sure it will not be next year, a bit less sure about the year after, less again the year after that and so on.
But, do not despair I believe this calamity can be deferred. If we encourage everyone to consume energy that is derived from fossil fuels then there is a possibilty that we can create a "greenhouse effect" that will insulate the earth's surface from this catastrophe.
Furthermore, to encourage such behaviour we should implement a system of credits whereby everyone who uses energy derived from fossil fuels will be issued credits that can be used to offset their taxes.
