Heard thru a friend that someone on a bike collided with a truck last night, in the yaldhurst area of chch.... anyone? :eek5: :(

It's in this mornings paper. Unfortunately the rider didn't make it. Happened about 7pm last night. I was riding home at a similar time and the conditions were terrible, had a couple of close calls.

RIP to the rider.

It's nobody that I know.
Was also riding home at 7pm, road conditions were slippery (at least once had both front-rear slide out simultaneously in corners) but otherwise visibility was average.

Damn. I struggled with the visibility coming home yesterday evening and thought that other traffic on the road was more of a hazard than normal because of it.

He leaves behind his wife of five months.
