Ours would have been done on a closed road but we didn't have any road barriers so we just got someone to stand at the corner and yell if any traffic was coming :yes:

My brother and it was about 1988, we had a ramp set up over the fence, our section was about two foot higher that the footpath and the fence was about two foot higher again and you only got a 20 metre run up

We tried it back the other way but if you went to fast and didn't duck your head fast enough you got taken off the bike by the clothesline
