Does anybody know where to buy cable outers, cable and nipples from in the wellington area. I have a couple of cables that I need to make up for my bucket racer. Cheers

I would stil be interested to hear of a place that has a good range, and does not want to charge ridiculous prices.

I have found kart places have some sizes and fitments, and the price is reasonable. But their selection is limited for bike requirements. They are good for throttle cable.

Is there a Darbi Accessories in your town? They wholesale a lot of that stuff.

There is but I would imagine that they wouldnt be keen on selling it directly.

They'll gladly pass on the name of someone who buys that sort of product from them though :)

I've been making my own throttle cables out of car boot release cables just cut to leanght and put a small braze on the end and shape with a grinder (keep cooling it in water and mind your fingers)
Clutch and Brake the same but using handbrake cables.

(keep cooling it in water and mind your fingers)Top tip that. Boot release cables are a bit light for clutch and brake though. They're usually 1.5mm inners, and clutches are normally 2mm, brakes 2 or 2.5.

Don't you find the outer cable a bit heavy duty from those? Or do you 'recore' the old outer?
