Riding over the bridge this morning, all's right with the world. I pass an HP car and the indicate to pull in front of him. A quarter-wit in a 4WD and trailer decides he wants that bit of lane too and just moves right without indicating as I'm drawing up to the corner of the trailer. So I flick left into the left lane, give a shake of my head and point at said moron so the chummy in the HP car notices.
What do you think he did?
1/ Nothing
2/ He was on the 'vinegar' stroke and didn't notice a thing
3/ He was deep in a doughnut fantasy.
4/ All of the above.

He would have done nothing and why should he? Don't you know that the only thing that kills or causes accidents on our roads is speed? Sheesh!

Oh sounds like the cops aren't on the ball anywhere this morning. I should have been given a speeding ticket this morning....

He was hoping the 4wd would hit you. The more of these above-the-law motorcyclists off the road the better.......

It is irresponsible people like you that give bikers a bad name...you were obviously going too fast, and he never saw you, why else would thebacon turn down a chance for revenue??:nya:

...just couldnt be arsed...That's what my vote is for. Just cos you speed past a cop doesn't automatically mean they give a shit, or that they had their radar on, or that they aren't on their way to another job...

I am gonna go with option 4.
I know that im probably way off base here and the coppa leapt to your defence and ticketed the 4wd guy for reckless driving or something, but I have become cynical and dissillusioned lately.
So is anyone gonna tell me Im wrong...
anyone????
oh ..... ok

Holy shit. Exact same thing happened to me today. No real danger, cause I'm pretty quick, but I had just moved from the right lane to the middle lane and just before the wellesley st offramp, an audi moves in on me in my lane, so I swing it right, and jump on the brakes. Cop was in the left lane one car back... just drove on and got off at the next exit.

How fast were you going and where?

A while back, a mum with a car load of kids backed out of her driveway, straight accross my projected trajectory. I have no idea how fast I was going but I managed to evade by using the other side of the road. All of this was observed by five-o parked 60m up the road. He leapt out of the car, pulling me over. I could have exploded, I had narrowly avoided being road smear and the man was hassling me :gob:
Imagine my surprise when he excitedly said.."man we never get to see stuff like that happen, do you want me to throw the book at her?" In my shock I muttered "uh na, she's got all those kids to deal with." "Well the least I can do is talk to her" and off he went. What a legend.:first:

Shit yeah...saw a guy power wheelie past a cop at 140 the other day then slow to the speed limit...what did the cop do? Pulled himself over...not the dude on bike...just when you think you've got the world figured out...

That's my theory on runners, they start because a cop decides they start, not because you're riding any more or less illegally than you were went you went past the last 20 cops. If the cop doesn't give a shit, as they don't 95% of the time, it's a non-event.

Are you sure it was Highway Patrol and not a Motorway Support Unit, Lou?

move on lou.
There's room to stop vehicles just past the Herne Bay off-ramp. They use it all the time to nail bus lane users. I saw this plod continue on and exit at Fanshaw. The 4WD carried on south.
I did move on marty, all the way to work.
And guess what?
I'm not even going to complain to the PCA!
