Well, nearly. Went and looked at a Suzuki Bandit 250 today, (guy was getting _alot_ of interest, one leaving as I walked in heh). Well she's the right colour (black of course!), not *quite* as clean as i would have liked, but it's just surface stuff that'll disapear with some TLC... muffler has a scrape from previous owner but other then that shes pretty tidy.

Payed a cash downpayment and bringing the rest tomoro (stupid ATM $800 limit!) and he's bringing it for a warrent tomoro + will get anything needed done, aparently its previous warrent had no issues, and then i'll pick it up tomoro evening.

Have to trust the dude not to sell it off and keep my down payment, but seemed a trustworthy sort... so, with luck, tomoro i'll finally have the bike i've been looking for, in the colour I wanted, and after a clean she'll be all nice 'n purdy for some pictures!

Thus right now it's a tentative 'Hurrah!', hopefully tomoro it's a real one :D

Well..

I've got it home :D!

No, I haven't rode it... no helmet (lol!)... but i hadnt expected to find one for a while so i had to use the grand i'd had for gear to get it quick :)

He mentioned theres a change in noise @ 10krpm but he didn't know what it was... I noticed the cam covers red so i'm guessing it's got variable valve timing (that's apparently the giveaway). However, from reading that was supposed to be 1996+ bikes and mines 95, so i'm guessing it was one of the first... which also means hopefully it'll be easier to get parts for.

All in all i'm really happy, and it's finally starting to dawn on me... grin keeps getting bigger :blip:
Came with a warrent it just got today (and he gave me the warrent card, all mint!), plus he filled it up for me (91, i'd like to get it on 96 eventually) which was a nice touch I thought, pretty rare with vehicle sales in my experience!

Alot heavier then the gn125 which is my only previous riding experience (at my bhs test!) :blah:

Pics to come after I clean it up

yeap the 10k red cover ones are VVT - something i REALLY REALLY wish i had.

when i first got mine i ran it on bp 98 but now use the caltex techron 95 (it really cleans your engine!) 98 gives me more power though

Enjoy!

p.s. while your removing the rust can you do mine too? :innocent:

Woohoo! Go you! I've still got a grin on my face from three days back when I got mine, even when I binned it and got back on - my grin got wider! Wish you lots of happy km's and safe travels! :sunny:
