KB traffic is charged as ... ?

KB obviously runs with a NZ domain name .co.nz but with the server hosted in the States, is traffic from KB deemed chargable as national or international?

The reason I ask, Uni charges for internet traffic and has different rates for national and international.

A site can be hosted anywhere in the world regardless of what domain it has (EG .nz) Spankme hosts out of the US to keep the hosting costs down.

In terms of internet charges your being charged to sent & receive traffic from the USA , therefore your Uni charges will have KB in the international portion on your bill.

as Mooch said its US. local traffic at my work is free - international is not. hopefully the day will not come when im told that I cant look at kb.

Why not find someone in NZ that you can use as a proxy server, thereby showing all data as NZ based.

because then it would cost my home internet twice as much traffic (oh i wish i was still with paradise). there are people here who use iternational alot more than me so its not really worrying. nor is what we browse restricted in any way.
