Anyone got any GSXR250 parts lying around?
Got run off the road by a truck, bastard didnt even stop!
He pulled out of a side street right on top of me, forced me over a traffic island, lucky for me there was no oncoming traffic so I had somewhere to go (sort of)
Done about a grand worth of damage to the bike, mostly cosmetic, and mangled my sholder a bit.

Sorry man no parts sold them all last month unfortunatly. Thats bloody unlucky, the wreckers seem to still have a few parts lying around for gsxr 250s tho if you want to ring round them.

I'm glad to hear you're okay! Usually bikers and trucks don't make for a good combo - do you have insurance? Did you manage to get the truck's details down?

I hope you get back on the road soon! :bye: :scooter:

Yeah I hope you got the bugga's details or atleast the trucks rego and any other details. Go make a report at your local police station.

and just how mangled is your shoulder? Hopefully nothing too bad?

Hope things work out and you get compensation and repairs for the bike

Damn, sounds nasty... and getting the rego is the last thing you think of when you're sliding down the road. If by some fluke you got it, make sure the bastard gets what's coming to him.

My sholder isnt too bad, just pulled muscles etc, I would recomend Tenic Armourtex gear to anyone.
I have a new muffler, which thankfully I hadnt got round to putting on the bike yet.
Tracked the guy down from the company the truck belongs to.

That's right, and if the bastard tries to weasel out of things... I'm sure there are afew peole on here who would only be too happy to pop around and sort 'im out...

Oops, you're in Whangarei... it'll have to be the Auckland boys then... ;)

Glad you're ok though... Know how it feels, and we just develop... EYE OF THE TIGER!!

Dont forget to mention that failing to stop at the scene of an accident is a serious offence :Police:

That might get things sorted a bit quicker for ya!

I dont know what its worth in fines/demerits but the offences were;
Failing to give way
Leaving the scene of an accident
And maybe dangerous driving or careless use

Looks like Ill have some cash for parts by the end of the week, must be time for a new paint job

Heh, and no mention of your shoulder? You are truly a biker! I'm happy it worked out okay for you (but let's see the money first! :shifty: ).

Keep us posted on developments!

The sholder will heal.

As for the bike, still no money out of the guy. He wants to get hold of his 'mate' in Auckland that works at a bike shop (hes not shure which one or where) and see if he can get the parts cheaper

Get three quotes for the repairs, make sure you get REALY expensive ones too, and give him the option of which one he would like to pay...
Also find out how long it will take and get matching quotes for car or bike rental for your commute to and fro.
Did you go to A&E?
Hand him the bill for that too.
He didn’t give a fuck about you so don’t spear any feelings for him!
How long would you have been lying there with both your legs broken if it had come to that?
Best thing to do is approach him with an outlandishly large bill and let him panic a bit befor negotiating down to the actual cost, but do it now, the longer you leave it the harder it becomes and the more resilient they become to handing over any money.
And don’t let his "mate" do some half-assed job to get him out of the shit.
Any problems and give the company a call, talk to the boss and ask him for their insurance details as you are getting the run-around.
Good luck!

Thanks for that, good idea

As for his mate, how many mates do you have that you cant get holdof in a week and dont know where they live or work?
