Hey all
I am looking at the weather forecast and thinking it looks good for a ride, so is anyone else here interested?
I want to run in the new tyres without any weight on before next weeks trip.
I am only on a 250 so cant travel fast, but am keen to learn from experienced riders if anyone is keen.
I dont care too much whether its on the tarseal or gravel.
I thought about heading up to the Kawekas, or the loop around Tutira, Mohaka and back down the Napier Taupo highway.
Any takers

Sounds tempting mate, but I've got a tractor in bits and some trees to move this weekend.
I need lots of seat time to get back into the groove so to speak, so it will have to wait a bit more.

I can totally understand where you are coming from after reading a post a while back about you getting back into the seat.
It could be good for both of us, slow and steady
If you change your mind you know where you can get me.
Cheers Scott

Everytime the last few weekends I've tried to get out on it, its been shit weather or I've had other stuff to do.
Last Sunday the tractor shit itself, the chainsaw shit itself, and the paddock ute over heated.
I was'nt tempting fate with the VTR after that, so started it as its been sitting for 4 weeks and rode around the paddocks for 10 mins.
Was'nt as much fun as my TT350 dirt bike tho.

Ok
Here is the plan
Saturday 19th August
Meet at BP Bayview at 9am
Depart at 9.30am
A small ride up SH5 to The Mohaka River - A quick stop and walk underneath this bridge!! - Yes there is a walkway underneath the bridge!! :gob:
Then its back to Waitara Road and follow the river until Pohokura Road, then its through Boundary Stream and onto the Main Road at Lake Tutira
Maybe a stop for an ice cream if the weather is hot.
With a bit of luck we can ride the road up to the VHF Radio mast, but last time I was there the gate was locked:shit:
The into Darkys Spur Road and the winding road back to Napier (this road hops out at Eskdale)
There will be lots of gravel, but I will be only going slow!
If you want to join me then I will see you there
I will be on my XR250
Cheers
