One daughter said Happy Fathers Day - the others never mentioned it....and that's the way I like it.

I know what you mean. I used up my last leave pass for the Rusty 350 a few weeks back.

One hand drawn card for the mid miss. No comments form the other two. Phone call from mum. Wifey went shopping (for herself...!!! WTF???) and got the little one to choose something special, whatever she wanted, for me...
Her choice? One giant bag of lollies... but only she said I wasn't allowed any... Oh well...

Nuttin.
But #2 Son did ask if there was anything he could do for me, and #1 Son did say nice things once he got home from work. #3 ignored it, and hid in the basement playing ShootEmUp games on one of the PCs.
Kinda normal for us. Last year I got nothing for either Christmas or my birthday. :whocares:

As I was/am sick as a dog, I slept the whole weekend.
As far as my haul goes,
1x air compressor (payed for by me, but yay tools).
2x handmade cards (best ever)
lots of love and affection with "ooooh daddy sick" pats on head.
They really are good at showing me what really matters and putting all the other bullshit into perspective.
Thanks boys.

I sealed the flap on the letter box and closed all the curtains... standard practice for me on fathers day.
My dog bought me some shampoo for a present. Ha fucking ha.

Oh yes indeedy - and the years that I forget to buy a card in September for the following June...well, you should see me running round like a headless chicken trying (normally in vain) to try and find something that might just pass for a Father's Day card....
I've gave up last year and just sent a text! LOL
But this year...aha! On to it this year! :D
Father's Day is really great when there's wee ones around, but when you're in your 30s and Dad's in his 60s...well, you've kinda run out of things to do and buy...Xmas is hard enough! At least with Mother's Day you can send flowers!

The cats always remember - this year it was hand cleaner for the garage (you don't need water to rinse it off) and some chocolate. My husband says they don't have to buy him stuff, but if they didn't, that would mean I wouldn't get anything for Mother's Day!
