Is it just me or has every second advert got some annoying kid in it at the moment? If I hear another squeeky bloody voice coming from the goggle box I'll go mad.

Lucky KB doesn't have voices... The ones in my head make me go mad sometimes...

The ones in my head are OK. Its the ones in my feet that trouble me. Especially that one between the left toes. I don't like that one. Fortunately, its very muffled when I wear boots.

I'm with you there, one more 'cute as a button' little f'ker selling Telescum or leaky homes and I'll kick the screen.

My sentiments exactly. Smarmy little fuckers. Butter would not melt in their mouths.

I actually think the young girl that is on the advert with Cocksy (Gib board or some crap) is very well spoken and delivers her lines at a sensible pace - unlike most kiwis who have to talk as fast as possible (even when they are NOT on a tv advert).

The telecom one can piss off though!

I cant stand the one where the lil boy goes out in the car and picks up the lil girl... (cant remember what one it was for, toyota hilux maybe?)
Irresponsible I think, an ad depicting a 3yo driving etc??
Kids could get the wrong idea and think they can do it too....

Its a kia I think...
I remember when I was little, and too weak to take the handbrake off, I tried and tried... But seriously, kids learn by observation, what you gonna do, blindfold them when they are in the car??
They are gonna play as soon as they can. Better to take them in the shop or whatever, at least then tradgedy may be averted!

Hey, it's not just men who hate ads with kids in them! There are some products I refuse to buy on principle because of the pathetic ads with cutesy (their definitition, NOT mine!) kids in them. And as for the ads for nappies where the mother invariably removes the soiled nappy and then kisses the baby's arse - give me a break, how hygienic is THAT?

I loathe that Telecom ad with that obnoxious kid with the briefcase and I also hate the ones with babies throwing food all over the place for mummy to clean up. My husband hates the one for Cobb and Co (not that we'd be likely to head there anyway) where the girl turns around with an open mouthful of food - ugh!

And yet, what's the bet these irritating ads will be top of Fair Go's tv ad awards come Wednesday?

So they are conspiring??? I knew they were up to something, when it all goes quiet, you know it can't be good...

hahaha... Quite possible...!

Haven't experienced the kids going quiet thing before... but when it goes quiet around the office here... you know someones about to get punked :D

Anyway... back on topic lol...

Do you ever catch yourself singing/humming the end of the jingles on the radio?? I hateeeeee them... but seem to always get caught with the 'gotta get a garage... gotta get a gottage, gotta get a skkkyyyliiiiine' one

(oh... sorry to those of you who are now humming that... te he :D)

The kids on the Hyundai ad are way cool though. Especially the little boy, he'll be a grubby bagger when he grows up.

i love that add, so cute!! what concerns me more is him surfing with out and parental supervision...i think a kid is more likely to mimic that than driving.

I like the Hyundai ad, those kids are cute!
But my pet hate at the mo is an ad on the radio, some 6yo telling me that the legal speed limit past a school is 20 kph - since when! Rang the radio station and complained.. but still they play it every morning! Yeah, well what do 6 yo know anyway..

Indeed. I am surprised that the limp-wristed, unshaven, roman-sandal-wearing, walk-short-clad, namby-pamby, tree-hugging, liberal wowsers who also wear organic hemp underwear, hand-knitted by unionised labour haven't complained. You know who you are...

haha... Apparently people have??!.... to the broadcasting standards pple lol.
It became a topic around the office for a wee moment today after I piped up to ask what car brand it was actually for...LOL

Its easy to find something to pick on (in the ad) when theres one that you dont like. And that just so happened to be the first thing that came to my mind (kid driving car) LOL

You are taking the piss. Right?

nope...lets face it...a kid his age wouldnt be able to see over the dash as well as operate the pedals and gear shift, but could quite easily go out in water without much trouble.

Kids unsupervised near water!!! What would the councul pool inspectors say about that!

Also there is the kid at the dentist (telescum again...) talking with his mouth full... parents didn't teach him any bloody manners!!!

C'mon, it's an ADVERT. Kids drown themselves often enough without instructions. Do you think we'll have a rash of toddlers stealing boards and going surfing now?
