Despite pointing out that the price of motorcycle registration was dropping in two weeks, I was not permitted to register the bike for less than 3 months.

Bastards.

Nobody said life was fair, but why do other people with powers of discretion available to them go so far out of their way to be such rule following little snots?

Being new to the biker world I just about fell over when I got my 1st registration! Bloody hell!

So when you "less than 3 months" do you mean like1 month etc or just the 3 month time frame?

I left the first Post Office totally steamed up, went to another one who also looked me in the eye and said "DENIED!", in their best Wayne's World voice, so my wife tried yet another, all to no avail.

I wanted to get 2 weeks, so I could fully capitalise on the new pricing regime, but had to buy 3 months worth.

Will I be okay on the 15th of July? And are they going to review in another six months meaning I shouldn't register for 12 months?

Yeah I know!! I can't help it. I'm the sort of person that gets busted for that, while other chaps ride around on "cruiser-style" machinery, wearing German Helmets with big black rubbish bags full of shrubbery tied to their back with bailing twine, get away with no warrant and no rego for years at a time.

I can't wait for my assignment to be done so I can go for a proper bloody ride.

Yeah we tried every combination up to 3 months we could and pointed out the form said you could nominate less.

Thanks for the offer dude, but I've already paid for 3 months because I'm a sheep. Baaa. :)
