As I was heading home on Saturday and cruising at around 110ks the bird started surging, its a problem Iv`e had in the past,so I had the carbs balanced, and cleaned and it seemed to run sweet up until Saturday afternoon its like its starving for gas ,the guy at red baron said he had cleaned the idler jets , and this helped for a bit,any thoughts ? Thanks in advance

John, I'm not really up on the fuel system of the carbed Blackbird, but is there an in-line fuel filter anywhere? The only reason I ask is that I had a similar problem when I had a BMW K100RS and it turned out to be fine particles getting stirred up and sticking to the outlet gauze, maybe from bumps, I dunno. May be worth checking. Might also pay to post on www.superblackbird.uk. I'll also ask a friend in the UK who has a carbed version.

Cheers

Geoff
