That sounds like the go. So MSTRS could you lead us to the place Dooly hangs out next week and then, maybe, Wasp27 could get the map out and do a recognisance look and put a ride together to fill the rest of the day.

Just avoid Burma Rd in my area, which is off Raukawa I think.
Lots of deep shingle, and hairpins on half of it.
Not nice even in a car, let alone stone chips..

Mmmm was good to blow the cobwebs, create new marks on pegs and boots and get out and ride.
Freaking awesome ride guys. The natives up north-ish must have been a li'l confused; 7 bikes turn up, grab petrol, grab a feed and head off again. Oh well.

I really enjoyed the ride last night, love that Wairoa road. Could not see much heading back into Napier due more to the mass population of insects on my visor more than the fact that it I had on my tinted visor which is not the best in the dark.
Think I have to rank that road as my favourite at the mo.

Wasp and I did see a mail truck...not for long.
It was the produce trucks that we had to pass in the last gorge.

The Goats cross the road at dusk to head back in to the hills. I have seen them crossing back in the mornings at daylight when I have gone up for breaky. They are a problem. I did smell dead stuff 3 times as we came home so I assume their are some dead ones. Just got to ride slow enough to stop for them

By the way you ride well. You will be moving up to the Thursday rides soon.

When yu read this you will be home from your ride and as you will know I was not there, ......arrrrr, what am I doing.

Had a bloody good 2 days in sunny Wellington, was b e a u t i f u l there Monday and hot, man, whew, ......with my liners in, cause the way the weathers been I was expecting cold and had nowhere to store the liners so had to sweat it out in them. I enjoyed them later on Tuesday avo coming back along SH50, the temperature dropped, and riding into Napier it started to rain, whats going on, this is the Bay ! a rain free zone, ....not amused.

In case you do not know there was a KB ride ride organised for the 6th, approx 20 riders where expected, I arrived at Rimutux early to find a couple of bikes, after that they just kept rolling in and rolling in, dam good turnout and good to meet some of the people behind the names on KB. Must have been over 40 riders. Was an awesome sight with so many bikes on the road, an interesting mix.

There are road sprints on this Sunday 11th in Carterton, I would be keen to ride down, anyone else ? Good excuse for a bit of ride.

Hope you all have had a good ride this evening, I'm feeling like I missed out already before I even hear some stories, still its going to be hard to beat last weeks ride to Wairoa and back, that was fun.

I missed the ride..............You won't believe it but I got my work bike stuck in da mud up to the seat out the back of da farm. Took an hour and a half to get it out. Never ever had that happen before.

Then the battery went flat and the mud flooded the exhaust pipe and then water got in to the carb via the air intake and I still had to put the cows away and ....................... I am shagged from pulling and pushing the f$%cking thing in knee deep sticky mud. I hate work

Hope you had a good ride tonight you lot time for :zzzz:

McJim and Chickadee, it was good to meet you both, I enjoyed the ride back from Taupo last Sunday, once we managed to re unite, (don"t let a Scotsman loose in the North Island )

Yungtart and myself enjoyed our hour on the side of the road in the sun eating iceblocks and watching the world go by waiting for you to realise that we do not just piss off up the road and leave you to your own devices. I love the way you tuck down every wee hill and overtaking move. My VTR has a definite advantage on hills over yours with less weight to transport.

Was neat to have another chick(s) out riding last Wed, that wee 2 stroke is cool, love the noise.

Hope Aucklands treating yu kindly.

Hi People.

A few of us talked about the what to do when Daylight saving comes to an end. How does this sound. We talk to the Thursday riders and see if we can join them on a Saturday avo. They moved there rides to Saturday last year.

Pick a ride and we all go at our own pace. Regroup and head for home. Dedicate a sweeper to make sure everyone makes it home. I am keen to bring the two groups together. I recon it will work. If the faster riders are happy for us to join them that is.

So what do you recon?

Yep. Been a while since I rode with them but most were. All bloody nice people to spend time with.

All we have to "get over" is the fact that we will arrive 5 minutes after them. ( well some of us ) No drama from where I stand but we still keep the group going over the winter. I will send a note to Morepower and see if they are happy for this to happen. I know they will cos anyone of us could just turn up and ride with them.

As long as everyone goes at what pace suits them, all's well.
Sometimes I like to go nuts and twist the wrist right over, but sometimes its good to look at the scenery.
Always good to meet fellow bikers too.

Now that what I like to hear. I was nicknamed Captain Hurricane a few years ago. I like the winter. Easy to put on warm stuff but this heat kills me. I hate the leathers in 30 + deg. I am sure we can work somthin out. Give it time and see what happens.

No. We ride as a group. We will always wait. I think the group has done well to this point and I am sure we can keep it going. Just ride to your speed and the group will be at the end to sit around and chat. Worked well on the ride on Saterday.

I like this idea. I have spoken to Morepower and they are very happy to let us ride with them. Dave recons we would find their group is a bit more sedate than it use to be. Keep bringing the ideas forward cos I would like to keep the group going over the winter and if we can get Alice along it would be good.

It looks bloody funny

There is one screening at 6.30pm?

Your thoughts?
If we can get 10 or more adults, the cost will be $11.00 each?

A group of middle-aged friends decide to rev up their routine suburban lives with a freewheeling motorcycle trip. Taking a long dreamed-of breather from their stressful jobs and family responsibilities, they can’t wait to feel the freedom of the open road.

When this mis-matched foursome, who have grown far more used to the couch than the saddle, set out for this once-in-a-lifetime experience - they encounter a world that holds far more than they ever bargained for. The trip begins to challenge their wits and their luck, especially during a chance run-in with the Del Fuegos, a real-life biker gang who are less than amused with their novice approach.

As they go looking for adventure, they soon find that they’ve embarked on a journey they will never forget.

Cheers Scott

What a great day for a ride.
Have got some visitors up from Welly, all have their bike licence.
Took all 4 of the bikes out at once today for about 4hrs around my area, Havelock and Napier.
Ended up pit stopping at the Puketapu pub for a brew.

A few guys were there on their compressors but we were'nt deemed good enough to talk too...:tugger:

A few more guys wandered in on different makes and models, had chats to them.
A guy rounded the corner at a wicked speed on a 996 Duc, and in flash had gone in a blink, was impressive!

Was bloody neat sitting there outside talking about bikes, watching bikes go past........makes it all worth while.

Saw a small group of sprotbikes parked at the Roy's hill rd turnoff on the way home, must of been meeting to go somewhere.

Rode the Triumph today, my mate was on my Duc......all the time I wished I was.
Something wrong there.........hmmm........
Picked up a few stragglers, they all followed us home, sat on the balcony overlooking HW50 and the ranges, sunk more brew, bliss........

Great day to be a biker!!!!!

I plan to ride and stay on my bike! Don't know what yu other buggers are planning tho.

The same.

'It's a race and you aint beating me' guys. .

They do ride a bit faster than us but they are all good riders and they like to let the bikes run out a bit but they don't "Race" as such. The biggest difference is we like to ride as a group and support the newer riders and they like to shot away and meet at the rides half way point and then at the end of the ride.

Both riding groups are for the love of the bikes and friendship etc but we do it in different ways.

If I'm not there dead on 6 it will just a bit after I reckon.
Have to be another warp speed dash down HW50 and Roys Hill to make it..........what a shame.....

Things have turned to shit here at work and looks like I'll be staying late.

Let us know when, where, the Saturday rides start.

Count me out tonight guys, even if the weather fines up, i won't be able to make it. hXc has band practice, normally gets a ride, which is unavailable tonight, so he either rides my bike or I take him - either way I can't ride!

It is you guys who turned up regularly that made our midweek rides what they are. You deserve as much thanks as we do!

I'm thinking that with this being a short week and next too, that the really regular Wed evening rides won't get underway for another couple of weeks.
So, YT & I (and anyone else of course) could swing by to collect you (on your own bike of course) to do an easy pootle loop and convene for coffee at yours afterwards??
I know it's not an exceedingly cunning plan, but I think it has some merit.
Or are you still....limping?
