There I was doing the typical vulture circles around Chch's confusing one way street system hunting for a good bike park on the south side of central. Found no spaces any where and had to be at 150 St Asaph Street for an all day First Aid refresher course taught by the Order of St John - they have no client parking :(
Thought about dropping in on Sniper or OAB but wasn't too sure where about both you guys worked.
Using eeny, meeny, miny, mo,,, could've found OAB but was pressed for time.
After spending 10 minutes circling around those horrible one-way streets, gave up and headed for the nearest known bike park on the south side of central and hoped the walk wasn't too far ... this spot is right outside SportZone Suzuki on Manchester St.
Parked and locked her up at 8:15am safe with the knowledge staff would arrive around 8:30 and they'll be working from 9am till 5:30pm - course should be finished by then. Quick check for time restrictions and discovered none yet surrounding cages had 120 min :lol:
Figured bike would be rather safe parked there all day because after all, SportZone park some 20 bikes out on the grass in front, so naturally assumed that'd keep an eye on Joe Publics bike parked just a few feet further in front :cool: Also figured Mr Scum would think I was just a few feet away inside the store keeping an eagle eye on my steed.
Boy was I mistaken! They really did keep an eye on my bike, a really good eye in fact :2thumbsup
Upon return found it surrounded by four brand new black coloured 2006 demonstrator models :whistle:
While warming the engine and gearing up (it was pissing down with cold wind blowing), managed to have an uninterrupted peek at an 1800cc bike similar to a vmax, something that started with B (Big Dave test rode it recently), an unknown model and a very shiny GN. To top it all off, my bike didn't even get shuffled since I had parked smack bang in the middle so cages wouldn't accidentally knock it over. Unfortunately the bike wasn't cleaned or given a congratulatory service :weep:
So thanks for keeping an all day eye on my precious SportZone :cool:
