YAY!!! Just collected my bike, and everything is sweet.. even got a new horn (from my 2dB one <-was rooted), to a 500dB one (well, it's really loud..)

Will probably be trying to get knee down this weekend if weather isn't crap..

Went out last night on the CT, and constantly had the footpegs on the ground.. i'm still trying to work out how i got my knee down before on the CT.. just doesn't seem plausible anymore.. after the carpark, did the river-walk again.. was awesome.. :)

Id say just be carefull which carpark you pick. Apparantly all carparks and other areas which are freely connected to the road (not fenced off) can be classed as highway, meaning mr plod can do ya for what ever he feels like, if he sees ya doing stunts. The night started off in a bit of a bad way, with a text from Flux (from the xray room hospital).. some stupid cage hit him.. he said he had to get his leg checked for fractures.. Hope he's ok..

There were a ton of bikes tonight which was great.. including new TeRapians: Crazy Steve (on the pretty silver GSX-R), a random on a candy blue CBR600, Red William Flint (on the GV250, which actually doesn't look half bad), and of course Carver's brother on a little FA50 scooter (i think it's that model).. amoung the regulars, Me (Ninja 250), Carver (NXR125), Streetfighter Jason (cause he's got a GSX250 streetfighter), Sam (on a GT250), that 'other guy' on the 'slightly quicker scooter' (i think that's about it)..

And of course, we can't forget our loving spectators: Inlinefour and WINJA (THANKS FOR COMING ALONG WINJA, SEE YOU AT THE BARBEQUE TOMORROW ^_^)

Carpark was pretty fun (although I think my ct is more fun on the carpark than the GPX).. Some cops decided to see what we were up to, and ended up saying "it's ok for bikes to be in here, we just don't want boyracers here :) ) hooray, even cops hate cagers..

As far as I could tell, Jason on the GSX250 won the 10lap race, with Carver and Crazy Steve coming in 2nd and 3rd), we then ventured back to Te Rapa, and then to the lake for a bit.. was a good night, and thanks for everyone showing up :) see you next time

buga sounds like i missed a good nite...everyone who saw me get wasted thought i was drunk because i was complaining about my bike being smashed up and a ruined weekend because someone doesn't know they're supoposed to look where they're going when they drive a car...into the side of a moving biker:mad:

after all that i came away with a sprained ankle and a few sore muscles on my shoulder and back...bike is a write off (still waiting on the driver to contact me with insurance or i'll be ringing the cop to track him down for me) the quasi gear took a good hiding with the boots destroying both my bike and his bumper but only spraining my foot...aparently a hit like that should have broken my leg dislocated my shoulder and i'd still be in the hospital getting treated for skin grafts or something:)

anyways give me a couple of weeks and i'll be right...just need to find a new bike assuming this guy actually has insurance to pay me out...or i'll take his car which he shouldn't be driving anyways

if ya see a good 250 for sale thats less than $3000 let me know...something like an FZR250 CBR250RR or ZXR250 would be nice:)

hehe yea exactly...as long as i get a bike to ride for summer it's all good...girls won't be a problem, and a 250 should hold the road alot better than a 150...just before i went home me and my bro had a sprint down the road off colins road and according to his speedo my bike maxed out at 160km an hour which is awsome:) so at least i got to ride it to the full potential before it was murdered

When I can afford to get over there man. Which time seems to be getting further and further away. Charging system is buggerd on my bikle and I'm in the preccess of figureing out wich part is causeing the problem. Only things left are the regulator/rectifier or the alternator.

It's a 19 year old bike man I expected it to have some problems. Plus I was warned about the charging systems on Vmaxs before I even got it. I've got the shop manual for it so that's helping so far. I just need to get to the regualter/rectifier thing wich is behind my left side pillion peg mount and I have no idea how to get it off.

sorry to hear that.. I crashed last night on my way to the 2nd unofficial HSNR (Hamilton Sunday Night Ride).. here's a tip.. when it's raining, knobblies on tarmac roundabouts are not your friend.. -

Amazingly though, that NXR125 is bullet..... i mean roadproof, 5ish or so meter slide on the road, and it doesn't even look like it's been down.. the fact that my leg was still under the bike when it came to a stop probably helped that fact, and even though i only had jeans and pvc rainpants, my leg didn't get cut up.. My cordura jacket held up pretty damn well (slight scuffing on the stiching on the right elbow.. My bottom-front of my helmet (where your mouth is) is a bit scuffed up from sliding on my face.. and amazingly, the Quasimoto winter gloves hold up surprisingly well in a crash.. I can only think that even though rain vs. tires was the cause of the accident, if the road had been dry and I came off, it wouldn't of been so kind..

From memory on your bike there is still a good portion of useable tyre left..... on the sides.:done:
My favorite it of the Coromandle is Waihi to Whangamata. Even all the way up to Whitianga is great fun.
The other side has too many towns and traffic to be much good this time of year.

I did have heaps of room in that tent, you could have stayed there and had a better ride back in the sun today.


And Rob, Nothing major. I just happend to be camping with the family in Onemana just north of Whangamata when I saw a few bikes pull in.

i think adjusting the track in first place was a bad idea..... JONNO!!!!!! I think we should change it back to the shorter back straight track.... I find it better, and the turn onto the straight is less bumpy

hey guys, i enjoyed being out on friday night howeva i have to agree with Seph because once you guys started competeing i did not want to participate due to the speed and the environment. It deffinatly looks awsome tho from the path! I'll bring my camra next time it got a video camera too. I think for me personally I go there to have fun, meet new people, admire the bikes and try to learn and pick up skills from experienced riders. After all im a newbe? I really enjoyed it and was able to give shirly a turn on my bike and Wow she didn't crash, did pretty well for the first time! it was kool and just want to say thanx to bruce for all your help! (you know what I am talking about!)
