Darryl Barnsdale, a member of Herefordshire motorcycle club "The Scally's", is celebrating the publication of his first novel. Written under the Nom-de-plume of ‘Wolfren Riverstick’, the children’s book ‘A Cat Called Ian’, tells the tale of an unruly 10-year-old boy who stumbles across the mystical world of Catland, where he is transformed into a cat with nine lives that has until Christmas Eve to make amends.

Darryl said: "I started writing three years ago and always said I wanted to be an author. The book is for nine to 12-year-olds but there seems to be more adults than children reading it and they seem to be enjoying it."

The book, priced £5.99, is published by Crazy Wolf Books. More information is available at www.crazywolfbooks.com
