I bought one last week, has done 62000k's

Question is, is there anything that these bikes are prone to in particular?

also, there is a slight ticking noise, i only notice it when its idling, and it isnt very loud.. anything above idle and the exhaust noise blocks it out, but it doesnt seem to increase as i put the revs on... could it be the tappets (they were adjusted a year ago by the previous owner), cam chain? (he thought it wouldnt be until 75k that it would need to be replaced) or am i just paranoid and its just the motor running normally?

Heres a pic of my new baby

Well I can have a listen to it sometime for you if it would make you feel better, but I sold mine a while ago, so I couldn't ever be certain.
Have you tried rolling it on to Coleman's, Holeshot or Haldane's and just getting one of the workshop guys to have a listen? I doubt they'd charge for a minute of their time.

We run a "J" engine in our TQ, they're just about bombproof so long as they're maintained regularly.....

The manuals thread has a link to the workshop manual for them.
I had an L model (longstroke motor with USD forks) - great bikes. Keep up the oil changes - the oil squirter cooling system is hard on oil.
