Just wondering what tyre you would recommned for me. I am going to replace my shitty nylon tyres at the end of this month sometime and would love some advice on what type of tyres (ok compound etc) and brands etc you would recommend.

I was talking to one of the other guys from KB a few weeks back, and he said he put one size up on his old FXR, would this be a good move?

Cheers guys :scooter:

Oh and about changing up a size, I remember reading something on here which said that its not the best idea, and going up a size can actually worsen up your handling somewhat. I know the FXR tyres look like pushbike tyres, but you get sharp handling from them that way.

Tyre sizes are

80/90 17" 44S (front)

100/90 17" 55S (rear)

Can't seem to find any MT75's or Sport demons in those sizes on cycletreads site, might just have to go in and ask.

dunlop 207's ?
Had them on my rs250 with no problems... got 208's now
alternately you could probably get away with a wheel barrow wheel on your rear and a girls bicycle wheel on your front..

Bridgestone BT39ss Good sticky in the right sizes . Circustreads has them intermitently . FXR tyres are getting harder to find.

I have a sport demon on my front and used to have one on the rear, Dindnt last long on the rear - 3000kms - and it was awesome in the dry, but very average in the wet.

Now I have a demon on the front and a battleaxe on the rear - not as sticky as the demon, but its way better in the wet.

And damn, dont tires have the most awesome names? Why cant my bike be called the battleaxe sport demon?
