Hia folks,

Had my Nokia 6270 for a while now, but it has never been setup for vodafone properlly...

I can make calls, send/recieve text messages but no GPRS or 3G or PXT (send/recieve)

I have gone through all the menus and set everything to 'vodafone' but it still wont work?

Any ideas?

When i went into the vodafone shop, the dude just looked on a webpage and said 'sorry mate your phones not listed, cant help you' !!!!!

I know it can work but how???

Thanks in advance!!!

theres two technologies your trying to use, well 3 actually including voice & txt;

Pxt = gprs and/or 3G
3G = 3G

search for your phones specs and see if its enabled for either/or; if it is then ring 777 and ask them to enable them for ya.

Ok I have a good plan for you.....

Give me the phone...... it does take a sim2 card doesnt it?

you go and buy a phone that you can understand....

then we are all happy......

See now how easy is that.....

it's not 3G capable but it its GPRS enabled; ring 777 or what ever the number is and ask the munkey to hook you up.

I can configure your wap (which you will need to do before connecting to Vodafone live.)
the rest will need you to get a file sent as a mms to your phone as this is a parallel import and so has an invalid file similar to a .ini file

You will need to enable your wap before they can do this as it will arive by mms.

If you want to try to do it your self look up any Nokia Phone on their support website and use the config settings the same. The gateways and DNS are the same for all models and Nokia conveniently call all of the same options the same thing in all models.

Also many paranormal imports are sold with sim 1 connections make sure you have sim 2 or 3.

Did this just over a year ago on my old Ericson. PXT downloading can only be enabled by sending PXT or other MMS.
