As the Xmas one never quite got off the ground...as per this thread...

http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=37812

So we invite y'all to our place at Paraparaumu Beach for a BBQ on the 27th of Jan. Kickoff around 4pm I guess or whenever people turn up.
Trying to keep it simple (I'm a simple type...)
We'll put on the salads and breads and sausages and stuff.
If you want something fancy in the meat dept better bring it along - I hear there might be a haggis coming.....(but I'm not going anywhere near it!)
Byo booze of course
We have flat off street parking for bikes
Beach shops 2min walk down road for beer/cigs/supplies etc
I think our spare room might have already been spoken for, but there is 2motels within a 100 metres and a bit of lawn to pitch a tent!
Someone might want to organise a ride for the afternoon?
Think thats everything, PM me for any other details

Pram Beach aint too far from quite a bit of accomodation. I'll bring the HiluX and I don't mind dropping some peeps off as far as Paekak backpackers or the Paekak camp if need be. Better than trying to ride pissed eh? I'm sure your bikes would be safe at Sels place.

A bit of ground up, seasoned offal never hurt anyone.

Selwyn and Claire, many thanks for a wonderful afternoon I really enjoyed myself and catching up with our KB'ers. The bbq was terrific and the haggis hmmmm back for seconds, was terrific too.

Meanwhile Golf November Two Five Zero obviously enjoyed all the attention parked up there in the driveway.

Doug and I stopped at top of the Paekakariki Hill right on sunset, and waited for a while to see Comet McNaught. Time marched on and so we left with naught to see.

Thanks again for a great afternoon.

You're right there Paul!

Mind you...bit of a shaky 'bust' really....I went past a patrol car just before McKays crossing....didn't think too much of it seeing as there was a concrete barrier between us. I got to the 'Hill' turnoff, and for some strange reason didn't feel 'good' about going over it.....should've...as at the camera on the highway of death they pulled me over while the patrol car came back and identified me......I'll fight that one though....as they didn't have a rego number etc.....should've gone over the hill eh!

Feck! Thought that might have been it... Bloody 70kph / 80kph zones?? It does not take much to go over because the %^$# have extended them out so far! It is just ... well... Stupid! After 6:30 there are 30 kph zones with trucks breathing down your neck.. argh! Bastard of a place. 2 work mates have been pinged recently for 112 and 113... Luckily in the 100kph area. In the 70kph area.... well....

Thanks for the comments about the C - its a bloody tart's handbag of a bike no mistake and I have to say! Well - we bloody LOVE it... More fun that a trouser full of greased weasels at a vegan lesbians picnic on extroverts night..

he is saying that he went past a guy with a multi coloured helmet going the other way at 153kph.....and the one waiting for me up the road asked how many other bikes were on the road that I saw.....I said 'plenty'......then the one that claimed to have seen/clocked me came back and said....yeah that's him. I said 'whatever'......they then said I could ride the bike home....and asked how long it'd take.....they didn't see the funny side when I said...."well, at the speed you accused me of doing, about 15 mins"

Bugger, I had to go to work today to tidy up stock take.
If we didn't have surprise visitors last night... and I hadn't got into the tequila quite so much... and didn't arrive at work 7 hours late today.... still with a sore head.... maybe I would have made it to the BBQ!

Add my thanks to list too Selwyn and Claire. You were outstanding hosts. What a lovely comfy bed in the gargre. The haggis was great and now I have something else to add to my list of things that shouldn't really be eaten, but get eaten anyway. Great to meet a few more of the KB crew. You might even get me on a horse one day Chancey.
Fight the power Pete. That's one of the dodgiest tickets I've heard of. They seem to be getting into the habit of making visual i.d.s then randomly picking someone to pin the alledged offense on. Ask Jimbo.

Sorry for the delay team, but I decided the whole website needed a clean up before I posted our pics, but they're there now ...

http://www.kiwishotz.co.nz/KB_BBQ.htm

I have to apologise that there's no file names or annotations on mouse-over that there's supposed to be but it looks like FrontPage is spazzing me. I'm really disappointed in the result as I had tried to correctly name all the guilty parties. You can see the full path in the bottom of your IE window. Sorry, being made with Frontpage probably means that Firefox users just get trash.

If any of the participants would like a larger resolution file, just PM me or Nasty. Anyone else want one, you'll only get it from the guilty party :)

All the kids were pretty well behaved - even Nicholas, who's usually a menace around bikes, was unusually restrained. He was the little blond feller running around yelling "bike!" and playing with all your throttles...

They may be well knackered and all peopled out and just need a good crash and sleep, so I have mentioned it to Scott and am saying no more as I don't think it's right to pressure them.

Also, I kinda messed up just a little ... that's also the weekend I'm competing in the NZ Masters Games at Wanganui (defendin a Sliver Medal from last time). Just as well I'm a biker ... a quick 2hr flit to welly is no problem to play host. Nasty might get a bit ... well ... nasty if I plant a bbq for her to orgnaise all by herself ... LOL
