You other KBers will have to carry the can for me, my cousin has decided he can't live in sin any longer and picked the March hare weekend to get married!!!
Sheesh, never even consulted me once about whether I'd be free that weekend!!

Can't you have a word with your sister to postpone her wedding?

By the way Scummy, if you see a guy on an MV Brutale down there, don't thump him. It's Doc not me.

The route will be as quoted above.

Possibly think about heading inland before Ashvagas  there's roadworks:sick: through Tinwald that make the Viaduct (from woodstock wk/end) over Arthur's look like a pool table. Was through there today & it definately wont be any better by the weekend

Hey Dudes,

Me and a geezer from Invers, are cruising to Wiamate on the friday afternoon, so will do the Lindas etc., So will look forward to seeing you all there.

AND :nono: on the topic of rallies, I think as a snorer its great to snore, as I cant hear it,:nya: AND its good to be so drunk sometimes, as its a way of totally letting off steam and enjoying others company, whilst indulging in alcohol and dancing and jumping around.

Rallies are all about fun, so dont know what all the fuss is about snoring and :puke: etc., I for one, got rolling drunk at the last one, and finally departed from the goings on at about 430am, then got the giggles with a fellow KB'er and we had great fun in remembering the words to Kenny Rogers "The Gambler" and shared even greater delight to sing the words, probably at a volume louder than the band. :2thumbsup

The best thing was a big burly bloke, started to shout "Shut the Fuck Up I am trying to sleep", so I replied, Ha Ha you Harley Rider perhaps you'll have a lie in tommorow coz you wankers wake us earlier than a fluffy feathered sparrow, will dare to tweet his first tweet.:finger:

AND, there seems to be a lot of people that go to bed early, each to their own, BUT isnt a rally all about, 1000kph conversations about bollocks and the funnier things in life

So, if you cant sleep coz of the snorers AND hoorah to those who want to make noises other than snoring!! good on em.................:not: then GET A PAIR OF FRIGGIN EARLPLUGS, GET A LIFE AND STOP WINGING, I AM A POM AND HAVE NEVER HEARD SO MUCH WINGING OF SOME GUYS ON THIS SITE SUCH AS ''''''Waaaaa, I cant sleep!":crybaby: I agree with others that say stay up and party.

SO THERE.

I worship the God of Fun and the more Fun the better!!:shake: :tugger:

Thats all for now folks

Apart from cant wait to catch up with all you great people, who make life lighter and a brighter by just being there

Oh my god, how quick has this come round, 9 months and its christmas again, yeehar:yeah:

I am majorly excited about the March Hare, I loved it last time, and love rallies in general now, seemed to have found my niche.....nice blokes, nice bikes, beer, good chat, and a good old boogie.

On a different note I rang up Thunderbikes in Nelson for some noisy pipes and was quoted $1015, holy f..k:eek:

I was lucky enough to have some thunderbird pipes donated at the Vincent by a right nice bloke :niceone: so may get em dipped so they become all nice and sparkly again, and apparently they are as noisy as:msn-wink:

Anyhow, here's to meeting up with you sweethearts again, talking bollox and having a blast, and I for one, shall make my best effort to snore like an asthmatic rhino,:2thumbsup

As for deserving a DB, well I love the guys on those posters (bty, if there are any like guys at the rally this weekend, who are single, then seek me out!:msn-wink: ), but cant stand the beer, but make mine a speights:drinkup:

So here's to misbehaving, dancing, drinking, drooling over bikes, and snoring:killingme

See you at the rally boys and girls.

BFN love from Woodybee

Hey there, cripes hasnt this one come round quick, and we're only 9 months from chirstmas already, yikes.:woohoo:

I cant wait to get there, I loved it last year, was the biggest rally I went to, and I now love rallies in general, nice bikes, gorgeous guys, lots of beer and a boogy.

On a different note I rang Thunderbikes in Nelson today to price up some noisy pipes and was quoted $1015 holy f..k:shit:

I did have some donated to me off a thunderbird,by a great bloke,:niceone: so maybe I shall get em dipped to make em all sparkly and then I too can sound like a Harley, but dont worry guys I shant be waking up early and showing off, god those folk are :tugger:

And as for deserving a DB for my reply to Snoring at rallies, for the record I love the guys on those posters (and btw,,,, if there are any guys that look like that who are at the rally this weekend, and are single with it then look me up:msn-wink: but I adore a proper beer mate,so make mine a speights:drinkup:

So heres to misbehaving, drinking lots, dancing loads, chatting bollox and above all SNORING

Cant wait to see you sweethearts once again.

Well, here I am, sitting at the computer, crying into my beer, waiting for the V8 Supercars to start. My son and I left for the March Hare about 9:30 yesterday, and about 25 kms into the trip (just south of Owaka) my rear tyre blew at just under 100km/h on a short straight between two 75 k bends.
One very scary moment. My first thoughts were that I'd been shot, then, as my brain kicked into gear, I realised what had happened. I managed to keep it upright, (stuffed if I know how) but I had to let it drift over on to the other side of the road. Thank God there was nothing coming the other way.
I had visions of that poor biker that came to grief at almost the same spot a couple of weeks ago, but I guess somebody was looking after me.
I stayed clear of the brakes and let the motor slow me down. I know I couldn't use the rear one but maybe I should have used the front. Only experience would tell.
Any ideas? Although I would hope this will never happen to me again, advice may help others in the same situation.
So, there we are...me, sitting at home hearing all the bikers returning home past my gate. I think I'll open another one.

what was the catch with the free dyno?

Harris (Graham) had a big sign up FREE DYNO and in small letters conditions apply which as I found out ment you have to buy a T shirt at $20 or $30 that has Harris Pipes all over it and you got a dyno run... fuk him thats rude, I would have still done it if the sign said $20 dyno, get a free T.. bat as it was mislieading I returned the bike to its park for the night.

Great rally. I’ve been hanging out for another one for a while now, so I’m pleased I got there. Good to meet some more people behind the names. A good session on Friday night, although parts of it seem to have been erased from my memory. Had a great ride home today – a short bit of SHWY 1, then inland to Cave, Albury, Fairlie, Geraldine, Rakaia Gorge, Darfield, and home - 321km.

Hey Dudes and Dudess's

Well here goes grab a cuppa and sit back and read it, would have subjected you guys to this last night, but me frigging computer threw a bluey.

FRIDAY: met up with my mate Mike from Invers and we blasted down to Waimate, so much for the "Dont worry jan I wont go fast" comment before we left. My hands got pins and bleeding needles when we got to Otemata (Ram Land) arrrr that handsome beast I mounted at Mount Cook Do.. anyway,
I still find the scenery in NZ, blinding, mesmorising and totally captivating. Waimates rolling countryside tipped past quite nicely, I sear some of those mountains have been water coloured onto a blue canvas sometimes....
We got to waimate the long way round, after we both went flying through Kurow and ended in Duntroon, then it started to get wet, dark and I was started to look at flat patches to pitch my tent and head up there on the Saturday, however, thanks to that wanker who was in a tanker sat behind me, and stuck to my arse like a fly to your helmet, the nightsky was illuminated and I was too scared to pull over, so we both continued till we got more signs for Waimate, (THANK YOU 7 MILE ROAD!)

FRIDAY NIGHT: Surprising how well a tent goes up in the wet cold and darkness, when you kinda need a beer eh. Off to the beer tent and managed to get well and truly mullered by 1030, danced a bit, caught up with the ab fab christchurch crew and westport guys and girls I met up with in Nelson, I love that bunch.

SATURDAY: Felt the norm at the bike rallies, head had abandoed my shoulders and only got reattached when it had a bacon butty fed into it!!, couldnt be arsed with the KB Picnic, so threw myself onto the back of my mates Moto Guzzi and 10 of us headed out to Timaru, cave then pleasant point, the afternoon chat completed filled with talking bollocks which boded well for the evening.

Decided to show me new tattoo, and got all brave and pretended to perform the start of a strip, what a total laugh though, will try not to get up there again, as almost went through with revealing more skin than I was originally intending, and where do you go from there, up with those slappers at Hororata I guess, bollox to those birds, having heard reports of last years do, majority of the guys I spoke to said they were disgusted and had no intentions of going to it this year. "Hear Hear"

Anyway, Saturdays antics were great, but MARCH HARE get some friggin lights boys and girls as couldnt see a bloody thing, other than that fantastic rally.

Scummy, I missed you and chris loads, get your arse to Off the Rails.

SUNDAY. My partner in crime fucked off really early (harley wananbe!!), and I crawled out of my pit at 945, and half the sight had buggered off too. So felt all sad and lonely singing the Bridget Jones Song "All by myself", untill I steamed up my helmet, and pulled up in Kurow.

Met some groovy guys from Invers, was gonna ride with them, until a bsa one of them owned was put to sleep!! so bugggered off on my own again!! sob sob, till I met up with absolutely awesome clutha guys, who I now consider to be potention buddies and bad muckers at Off the Rails,. boys great to dine and chat with you felt at one with your group at once. And I hit 145kph, nearly shit myself and lost you through the Lindas, but wolfed down an ice cream with you in Tarras, and hung onto to your arses for ages till the cromwell bridges. Love the new mates I made to bits.

BRING ON THE NEXT ONE:yes:

Your probably all moaning now, so gonna sign off:Punk: :sunny:

Coi 4 now, until all our paths cross again, life will get back to be boring and every day is nearer to the next rally. And as for the Isle of Man in May, fuck me I am chomping at the bit for that.

Will do a daily report on the goings on there, and shot up a few photos,

Byee:soon: :woohoo: :niceone: :msn-wink:

hey .. you lot, keep an eye out for "Buell Babe" she isn't on HER bike, but MINE... so LOOK AFTER her ok!!!!
Yep those southern KB'r certainly know how to look after you. They had Buell Babe up on the Dyno then they helped her get her bike up on the Burn OUT and she did a real good job, I even heard her reving the nuts out of it at 3am. She is a really cool lady do anything you want her to do with a bike. Dangerous really helped her do what ever she wanted to to do. Top guy...

Well it sounds like another great weekend.
It was a bit strange for me to turn up and then ride home.
But I still had a good day and found out how good the V11 was on a long trip.
I was hoping that it would be as good as my old MKIV and is was.
My day started at about 4am as some of the local girls where laughing as they walked passed my place and just as I was getting back to sleep they can back and this time arguing.
So after an hour (about 5am) I gave up and got up for a cup of tea and started to get ready for my trip and at 6am I was pushing my bike out to the street.

Well to cut it short I stop at Geraldine to have breakfast and top up the fuel tank.
Next stop Omarama for flue and on to the site to just miss some of the crew as they had gone shopping.
So my trip was half way though and I felt good after 460K's and 5 hours on the road.

Stayed on site for a few hours and tried to find this picnic but could not find them as they had to change location.

Because I was heading in the way I came I thought why not head home the same way and miss the traffic and I know what the roads were like.
So I did the same trip and this time I did not stop for food as I had a cooked meal with Nighthawk on site.
So I arrived back home still feeling good but a wee bit tired at about 6:30 pm 12 1/2 hours later hungry and had an early night.

Now I'm real happy with my new bike as I did about 10 hours of riding over a good range of roads and covered about 920k's fully loaded with gear.

The only down side is I may have bought a ticket to the Policeman's Ball on the Omarama to Tekapo straight. Bugger

The Three fellas from Rangiora, Cust, Oxford
We rolled away from our mid-morning meeting at around 11.30am (I think our Greater leader may have been wonderin’ what if us Temp kiwi bikers get all taken out!!)

We rolled out through the Waimak Gorge, Rakia Gorge, and headin’ toward Geraldine
The need to stop for a Harley sputtering was needed at either Mount Somers or Stavley, do not remember (though there is a guy with a Big Horse, a BIG fist, and quite BIG colour-full words for us three, not that we even did anything)

A stop in Geraldine, to expel, and pretty much straight to the site via main drag.
Got to the site and there was a few there, but a lot less that the Saturday. Decided on a spot after a ride about the site and sitting debating like Nana’s (I hate indecision, but I am firkin good at it)
So first KB’ers to set camp there, ole Phaedrus looped the site a couple of times before I set him in the right direction, then came the Real Ole “Sensible” posse. Other KB’ers soon filtered in. Red Turkey had a pink ended tent, which every bugger was able to trip over the ropes on. It was on all different angle through out the night.

We were donated a bottle of Philipino Rum from a fello manager at work. I am mighty sure it was that that made my sleep on Fri night sleep hell  (or it was that mixed with everything else) (or it was those fries that tasted like ass???:puke: )
The little drizzle did not dampen spirits at least.

Shiite there was a heap of peeps on Fri, and a hell-o-lot more Sat (I was surprised to hear of the stealth paddock behind the hedge with more tents. though you would have had to have been into acupuncture for sure with all the prickles/thistles)

Sat day/night was sweet; Red Turkey and I took a ride to Oamaru, where I had the thinnest fish fillet ever. Once I got another drink in me I began to feel better, but fear of the Sunday morning (which was much better than thought).
Pretty good entertainment and all.:Punk:
That night I happened to trip in some hole which threw my foot into Bushbashers tent rope, I over corrected and slammed me head into that low hung shed:thud: , I still got the scab on me head!!!! Thankfully I was not on me bike.
Straight home fairly early Sunday, Bushbasher’s bag opened somewhere on the road, and he lost his M-Hare Mug, (hope no one got there wheel on the glass):dodge:

All in all good one, Think me go 08 ….. bloody good, I am tired still and going to bed.:zzzz:

In spite of the event attracting even more entrants than last year, Senior Constable Clint Vallender of the Waimate police reported an incident-free weekend.

"They were all very well behaved. They are bike enthusiasts, not bikies."

I have recieved information from a reliable, confidential informant that a certain ginga was observed to be reclining while a female fossicked around in side his pants in the region of his genetalia while another female observed and pointed at groin area of the ginga.

Could they be looking for a missing todger?

Or to see if it actually exists?

Or is said todger being replaced in its proper place?

Or to see what a Guzzi engines rocking and vibration can do to a persons 'nads?

OK... Ill take this one,
Fairly BP right? 1 row of pumps right? left lane busy, right lane empty... right?

a pack of motorcicles follow a car into the right lane... car stops at 1st pump, 1st bike to follow car in was a Guzzi... white fella in white car looks in mirror, MG rider signals move up, car driver looks down and fumbles around (at this poing MG rider thinks about backing up and riding around to next pump... but the car will want out 1st and if other bikes follow the car will get stuck in) SO... MG idles forward and bumps car... car driver delebratly eggnores still looking down... MG bumps again... still nothing... MG BUMPS harder... still the aragant c@$t egnores, c@#t gets out and walks to rear of car... MG rider asks very nicley "move the fuck up will ya" nothing, not a word... c@#t steps over front wheel of MG... MG idles forwaad and nearly climes up the boot.

NOW... maybe and just maybe this is were a wee tiny little ginga comes out, I err the MG rider jumps off tears the pump out of the pricks hand and shouts "you can fucking well wait" and proceeds to fill bike.

The prick stands and watches (stuban wee shit aye) bike rider finishs and returns the pump to the prick of a car driver and says "all you needed to do was drive up to the next pump mate"... in which the driver replyed (in beter english that I speak) "ohh, I didnt see you

dumb fuk... thats what they say after they pull out in front of you and put our sorry arses in horspiddle... didnt see you indeed

The other thing that really pissis me of at servos is the shit heads that fill up... see you waiting behind them... then bugger off in side to pay, fuck sake 9 times out a 10 theres a empty car park in front of them... for the record i always fill up then ride/drive out of the way for the next person.

a pack of motorcicles follow a car into the right lane... car stops at 1st pump, 1st bike to follow car in was a Guzzi... white fella in white car looks in mirror, MG rider signals move up, car driver looks down and fumbles around (at this poing MG rider thinks about backing up and riding around to next pump... but the car will want out 1st and if other bikes follow the car will get stuck in) SO...

Could they be looking for a missing todger?

Or to see if it actually exists?

Or is said todger being replaced in its proper place?

Or to see what a Guzzi engines rocking and vibration can do to a persons 'nads?

Whatever, the two females are drinking what looks like KGB and laughing at the situation - whilst said ginga seems semi-comatose (A normal mental state for him so I've been told)

Think you guy's down there in the south are a bit tight. $20 seemed pretty good when you see the price of T shirts today. Plus you could wring the nut's out of your bike for everyone to see and they whispered the results so you wouldn't feel too embarrased. Would have been good with a L.E.D. Display so the crowd could see. Got a few pics of the drunk on the Buell doin a burnout if you want I could post them. (Of the guy too drunk to ride up to the stage)
Thought it was excellent rally. Sort of like the best of the Sulphur City Rallies they use to have on the Mainland.

I ran into Dangerreeees on my way to the dyno.... given it was said free... I was talked into going on over.... "D" was quick to fill me on the finer bits, and very convincingly talked me out of it... whew... and in hindsight I am pleased I did not bother.

Give the principles a miss and have some fun man. Na that sticker refer's to the weight that can safely hang over the tank as is the case with most Hog owners they ignore convention and take lots of risk with that "attitude" thing. Usually measured with the number of badges they have. (Sort like the Military ) get heaps of medals/badges per event. Seen how many badges and patches you get for one Hog rally. Ask Miss January she would know.

I dunno, $20 for a dyno run and a tee shirt seems alright to me? Not worth getting ya knickers in a twist over, is it?
How accurate are those dyno's? Mate was telling me he had a dyno run done at a similiar event, he had a GSXR 7/11, thats a 1100 motor in 750 running gear, still ran old 750 bodywork etc. He had his run and the operator goes "there ya go mate 106hp!" Mate gave him an earful, about how shit his dyno was, told him his 1100 motor runs way more than 106. The dyno guy got really stressed when he mentioned it had an 1100 motor. "You never told me it had that, blah blah blah" Why would he need to tell him? Just run it up and see what it does, if the dyno is accurate why would you need to know? Our theory was, he has a lot of dyno runs already on his computer and just picks one to suit, hmmm, early GSXR750, piped , yeah he'd be happy just over a 100hp..... Or late model R1, few trick bits , lets saw 140ish, aye?
Why would the dyno guy need to know what engine was running?

Well from what little I know.
A mate of mine that use to work in a shop with it's own Dyno.
Said it is all down to the setting up of the Dyno.
And with a little effort you can make it say almost anything with in reason.
So if they are not setting up the Dyno properly (takes time) you will not get a correct reading.
And if they are still using the same Dyno that they made.
Well it's good, but not that good. (read between the lines).

yup agreed, BUT.... until this year the dyno HAS been free, and the queues have always been enormous...and that is in the real sense free, not the 'free but only if you buy a Tshirt' free. Kinda explains why there was only a couple in the queue. Think I'd rather take it to a shop and get it done there anyway, one day, maybe, just for curiosity's sake.
