Quite! So ditch the PC and get a Mac. Simple really.
Ive always thought that PC stood for "particularly complicated" anyway.

I love how mac users jump at every opportunity to prove that their chosen OS or hardware are better than PCs. Also, in an argument about the merits of Mac they tend to get more defensive than a born-again christain debating religion...

God knows, Haz, you may have a point but I think the finger can be pointed at both camps really. It's a tired old debate found in abundance on here. I think it should all be taken as a bit of fun...bit like sportsbike riders poking fun at Harley riders or vice-versa.

My thoughts completely.
Games like Battlefield 2142 say Windows. No mention of Mac OS.
I'm a gamer and thats my biggest requirement in an OS.
Windows provides what Mac OS cannot. whilst doing everything else for me too.
Can Mac provide an OS for Battlefield??? I really don't know.

How many "PC's own Mac's" style threads do you see compared to vice-versa?

What I'm talking about in my cryptic fashion is that it always seems to be the 'mac' guys creating threads about how 'windoze' sucks, blows, whatever, or creating threads about how mac's 'pwn' pc's. Never do you see a thread from a pc user complaining about mac's or stating how a pc does this or that better. Sure the pc guys jump in and stir some shit, just seems the mac guys go out of their way to try to convince themselves of something.

I think the reason why Mac guys jump on this kind of topic is because they ultimately have to use a PC at work, and f*cked off cause they just don't f*cken work!
Try getting bluetooth to go on PC (sure you can do it) and then do it on a Mac (for instance).

Windows 98 and Linux running tiddly bo in this house hold. Rather spend dosh on my motorbikes.............
The review was more like that GSF600 artical IMHO.
Dedicated games consoles get over the standard ugrade hoops PC users have to go through :p

Are high performance graphics cards for Macs still 2-3 times the price of the equivalent PC ones, for no other reason than Apple decided to change the cards connector slightly, or have things improved since the Radeon 9700 days?

Seen it both ways here. I'm bored with it. Each to their own. I have both at home, I use both at work. The only things that piss me off about the PC's is more to do with Microsoft than the PC itself.
PC's and Macs use Intel chips, have similar hardware which leaves the OS.
Comparing them is like comparing a Buell to a Harley. Each to their own...

Thats a fair call Skunk.
I think (a big guess, Im no expert) the problem is that Microsoft has to cope with a million difference variations hardware etc... probably why it has a few issues. It seems to me that they are a touch slow regarding the security issues that linux, bsd (?) and OSX have addressed ages ago. This is in my limited understanding anyway.

Buy an xBox. Macs are not games machines, and I dont believe they are advertised as such.

Mac OSX will also run Windows, and using something like Bootcamp you can switch between the two OSs at the press of a button, so yeah*, I reckon you could play your games in the Windows environment on the Mac
*Disclaimer... never tried ;)

I did, i've had mac's on and off since 1987 :)
But to own one now is to subscribe to an area where you drink starbucks, drive shiny 4wd's, not use the internet for porn....and read this because your waiting for you next meeting.
A nice concept, but i like my bikes dirty, my women dirty, and my coffee nasty. Plus i cant afford a mac right now. Thats buying the misses her wheels.

I love my macs, but Battlefield does look like fun :P
At Squiggles' it's PCs all the way, (esp. coz of gaming) at mine the office full of macs speaks for itself. I suppose both get the job done...
Macs just get it done better :D
And they are prettier too
