Looked like a maroon cruiser, 2 ambos attending. Rider was lying on the road with helmet still on while ambo crew were tending to him/her.
Careful with the wet roads today, Wgtn bikers!

Shit, I helped out a guy this morning on a maroon cruiser at the bottom of the gorge, where SH1 & SH2 meet. No ambos though. I thought we was fine, then he fainted!!!! But came right, i kept him chatting and stuff. Wgtn motorcycles came and picked him up. Ian someone was his name, an 84 intruder.

Good on ya mate!! I rode by about 9.15 and saw 2 ambos and a couple of cars that had stopped, so didn't see any point in my stopping as well. What time were you there?

The crash I helped out at happened about 8.20, and he was picked up about 9.10, give or take 5 minutes.

Shit, I'm glad you didn't post this earlier before I'd had my morning chat with Nasty ... she goes down the gorge on a maroon cruiser ! The timing would have been off a bit as she's usually an hour earlier than that but she wasn't looking to be in a hurry this morning

Okay, I must have been there at the tail end of the dramas then.
Any idea what happened? The biker alright then?

By wet we mean slightly moist!!
You should be more worried about earthquakes and land slides!!

Yeah!! :Punk:
I think it's the first shower we've had in awhile, so the oil and crap that's been accumulating since the last shower's still there and makes it more slippery than if it was just water.

It was fkn slippery this morning. I split up to the front of the queue where Thorndon Quay and Featherston St meet up (next to Railway Stn) and unbeknown to me I'd parked with the back wheel on a cat's eye. Wheel spun across the intersection after getting swamped by traffic away from the lights. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't moving.
Then I nearly slid into a pedestrian when I locked up the front as soon as I touched the brakes. Most unpleasant.
The Rimutakas were sweet though!

Hope the guy is ok.
Yeah real slippery out there today. A bit of light rain after all this dry weather is treacherous.
Locked up the rear splitting this morning. Be real careful on the way home people.

Yep greasy as on the roads this morning. I took it super easy on the ride in this morning. Work colleague of mine sporting a few scrapes and bruises having come off a scooter in Khandallah on the way to work. Take care folks.

It was super-slippy today, as a learner rider I think it's the slippiest I've seen it in the 9 months I have been riding. I felt the rear end slip a little twice on the way to work, and that told me to back off a little. Crazy times.

The dude I helped on Friday morning just tracked me down at work, with a thank you card and a $50 flybuys gift card!!!!!
Restores some faith that there are still some ok people in this world.

That's pretty cool - not that you were doing it for a reward of course!
I found a guys wallet in the road near my house and tracked the owner down by ringing the bank on the bank card in his wallet (they put me through to him!)
He came and picked it up (because I was on call) and brought me a nice bottle of Pinot Gris as well. Spiffing!
