hi
i have a cbr250r and love it. having alot of fun at cornering bloody fast (although i haven't quite got my knee down which would be sweet!) but now i'm wanting to get a new thing to work on. thought about burn-outs but figured my tyres are to expensive for that! and stoppies weren't really working and the wheel kept locking up and scaring the crap outta me sometimes! so trying the wheelie. i've had a few goes at it but only get the wheel about a foot off the ground after dropping th clutch at up to 18,000rpm (im thinking that the new pod filter and a/m pipe have reduced a lil' of my bikes torque which makes it harder).so i've gotta try help the bike up. i reckon that i'll be able to do this in time, but i might not have the best technique and don't want to develop bad habits (or blow my bike up!). so what does everyone else do?just pull and lean back while standing?sit back in the seat?push down first?(this doesn't look as cool though!)

i have found the best way is to ... Get all kitted out Eg. Boots,gloves,pants,jacket.. then go to the petrol station and fill your bike up .. Go for a ride at a comfortable pace for your ability .. then when you have had enough or got to where you are going ..head home .. then as you arrive home park your bike take your gear off .. Then rember ya bikes got 2 wheels for a reason DONT BE A EGG! .. Alrgr bike owwners Use a thing called power stand .. When ya growen up enough and have a bike of adiQuit size you wont have to ask a stupid Question .. Poor Lil 250. thats like trying to make a baby run a enduro race ..

The good thing about doing a wheelie on a Honda is that you can crash it and no-one would care.

yeah i have on my dirt bike but i kind of just let the throttle loose and up she goes! ok, i don't want to f@ck it, its a good bike, but a well timed wheelie would be sweet, might have to wait 'till i get that cbr600 or gsx750 or something that im dreaming about.lol

That is a gay answer. He doesnt have to stunt o open road...could be anywhere closed.

Anyway CBR dude, try getting up to about 2/3 of the rev range in 1st, lean back and quickly pull and release the clutch, if your clutch is any good, that alone should get you up there. To get to balance point, just wait till ur a bit more in the torque range before disengaging and reengaging clutch.

I'm not so sure CrocketPacker, my lil bike wheelies just fine thanks ;)

Try about 10000rpm, full throttle, then dip the clutch. If that doesn't work a little tug on the bars at the same time should bring it up.

Take it easy :)
