Yeah Happy Birthday and can you believe the news is saying Wellington had more sunshine than the other main centres last month and it was the driest for a long time. Great for biking and long may it continue so have fun.

Not much chance of that (other than a coffee courtesy of Jim2 - and very nice that will be too!) - hubby's off to the UK today for 2 1/2 weeks and he was on the phone to work when I left so I didn't even get to say goodbye to him! *sigh*

I'm really tempted to do the Manfeild Track Day on Sunday, Jude.
You're more than welcome to come along too. Whether you participate or just spectate is up to you of course. Lyn is coming too. Its an early start though (7am) to get there for registration. Otherwise.... Saturday?

Can't do Saturday I'm afraid matey - off to the Martinborough Fair (was going to ride but I'm going with a friend who doesn't ride, so we're going in her car) and then my afternoon is taken up with Avon. That week I had off after the miscarriage has seriously screwed up my schedule so I'm frantically trying to catch up *sigh*

Would love to come on Sunday - never been to a track day before - but I REALLY need a sleep in!

Bugger.

I'll see you next weekend tho and Dave's away the following week too I think so maybe we can sort something out for then?

Birthday wasn't anything too special (hubby flew to the UK with work for a couple of weeks - great timing RNZN!!!), but had a great weekend :D

Martinborough Fair on Saturday and then a ride with Elle yesterday - over the hill for the first time in about 6 months. A bit scary and I made a few mistakes, but a good ride overall (couldn't wait to get the gear off when I got home tho - man it was hot yesterday!!!!!).

I would have gone over the hill with you too, JCM....

I had to ride all by myself over the Haywards, around the inlet and back just alone.....

I did manage to tighten my chain by myself beforehand AND my back wheel and chain are still functioning....!

M8 I'm so sorry :( Would have been cool to have you come along! You could have had fun doing some serious braking behind me!!! (my cornering ability seems to have disappeared during my time off the bike.......*sigh* back to square one)

Naw, it's this weekend coming (9th to 11th). I am pretty easy going, so I will forgive you.

We will have to do a taka trip, though. I haven't been over that hill since December!! Well, not on my bike, anyway.

(PS - my bike still has not fallen apart and I tightened the chain myself!)
