Me? Go for a pootle on a two fiddy ride? An excuse to go for a ride and not attend a principal's bbq? Puhleeze! What do you take me for? A two wheeled obssessed lunatic who rides anywhere, anytime, anyplace?

Oh wait :devil2:

You got me there. :o

Be a good chance to take Daisy out to meet some new characters, seems her previous owner was none too taken with her and decided to hide her away! :nono: :msn-wink:

Sooo anyhoos...my little ol'Hornet will understand, it's a perfect gentleman and will always let the ladies go first! Just need to use up the current two-stroke oil so I can replace it with one that makes more smoke! :headbang:

Spotcha like a done banger on a barbie! :niceone:

Argh - Maha's ride Saturday, or Mav's on Sunday...

Well, seeing as I haven't had a Mav ride for a while, and Maha's would require me to suffer ass-numbness, I guess I'm signing up.

Tell her you're bloody well going, or else I will come over.

And sing.

That's not a threat, it's a promise - she'll be stuffing you into your riding gear so fast you'll get friction burns.

I'm a happy little RZ and doing okay!
Got a new owner who rides me every day -
He treats me right,
he stops at lights,
Puts in good gas and checks my bits,
He thinks I'm the perfect chick!
Noisy, loud and dirty ...
Ooer, he makes me sound so flirty!
I ring him there, I ding him here,
We always end up gosh knows where!
He promises to buy me bling,
Oh, how that will make me sing -
We're partners in crime,
Willing to do the time -
So if you see us on the road,
give us a toot to lighten the load!

gijoe1313
2nd March 2007, 23:41
I'm red and keen, a real lean machine -
I was his favourite, his number one
We rode the roads down windy paths
Shared the ups and downs of
Motorcycling repasts
Pootled, blatted, hooned and binned
We are bikers in heaven and hell
Doing sins and doing well
I've lead and followed, done our own thing
Oil changes and being blinged
I'm a little red Hornet, revving away -
Wonder where we going today?

Very well!

I had some initial withdrawal symptoms (trying to kick start Rosey 3 times...) but now, am very very happy.

Sure, Rosey doesn't have the top end speed albeit she is pretty damn close to capable of what I was EVER able to push Daisy to, but she has some awesome pickup that takes very little encouragement to manifest.

So in summary, I'm over it

Muhahaha... what's not to love about the Ninja?

Actually, I have been offered a squirt on a friends 12R - might have to go see him today.

Apparently he was quite possibly pulling a speed of 3 digits starting with 2 when he passed us the other week on the way out to Clevedon.

That was a freaking nice sounding bike too.. If you have been offered then you should take him up on it! I love riding the 1100, just because the frame is of my stature, I dare say my upgrade may be the litre bikes. But that all depends on whether I'm mature enough to have that power when the time comes:shutup:

Just had another look at the attending list, looks like it's gonna be a banger of a ride!!

Sorry guys! Can't come anymore. The girl has rather bad food poisoning as a result of sampling too many dodgy food stalls at the Lantern Festival. Can't in good conscience piss off on my bike, especially as it worries her anyway.

Sorry lads, was rather looking forward to this.

Oh well, it'll give me a chance to do that oil change anyway, I've just rolled over 500kms since the rebuild.

Have fun! Rubber side down!

And you somehow weaned yourself off two stroker smoker products as well - what next? Giving up breathing? Deciding to shuffle off this mortal coil while lying in bed? Allow a hardworking and trusty ride called Daisy to slip through your cold, lifeless hands?

Oh you are a callous and cruel fellow to deny yourself the spice of life, the breath of passion, the homage to heroic deeds, and moreso, the effervescent zephyr breath of the need to ride! :nono: :msn-wink: But since you have Rosy...

I guess I can forgive you,
For Daisy will not,
I guess I can keep you company,
For Daisy will not,
I guess I can ride with you,
And in this, Daisy will have to! :woohoo:

I think your chinese girlfriend has become more kiwified! Usually asians have cast-iron stomachs since it's a survival thing from those "interesting times". I would have turned up at the Lantern Festival, but I guess with my current riding outfit, they would've had wild stereotypical ideas of Yakuza/Triad/etc. ideas ... :devil2:

Never mind, we know you have the biking spirit in ya! Just remember to wash your hands free of oil before going anywhere near your girly ... the japanese girly won't mind as much as the chinese one though

Also, she will require plenty of sleep, and loads of quiet.

Hey yall,

Had a great ride there today, Donor, Mav, Zeocen, Mamba and myself on the ride out to Kaiaua, then addition of Squiggles & Hanne joined us from Kaiaua.

Good speed, weather was nice (not too hot and not pouring).

All was going well, a bit too fast and gravel on a corner on the way home and I came off. REALLY don't enjoy that moment of "OH SHIT HERE WE GO AGAIN". At least just a bruised arm/shoulder and a little bit of bending back to do. Got up and rode Crazyfrog home, think that was the best choice all round, she was rideable and getting straight back in the saddle is often the best thing (stops you re-living the crash mentally while on the side of the road). What a dick (me) is all I can say, too much juice and gravel on a corner. At least it was a good bin in the fact I could get up and ride away.

Thankyou gods of two wheels for sparing me yet again. Many thanks and love to my fellow KB's who stopped to pick me and Crazyfrog up - Mamba, Mav, Squiggles & Hanne. Thanks for the escourt home too. Come on over for a cuppa when you're around next. Out comes the arnica cream and ice pack - off to physio tomorrow for something else, so I'm sure I'll need attention on the other side this time.

4th March 2007, 14:29
Brilliant ride - even the couple of lame attempts by mother nature to rain on us were barely noticeable.

Rosey handled better than ever, and I felt like I was just on top to give her some ballast, she barely needs my input from hooning straights to undie bunching twisties.

Thanks to all for today, apologies for the fluid imbalance hesitation occurrence!

Chickadee - we traveled HOW many km today, and you decide to wait til Zeocen and I are gone before binning? Dang, I never got the opportunity to demonstrate my unique patient care skills! :devil2: But bloody glad to hear you and Froggy are okay!

Hanne and Squiggles - better late than never, I'll shout you some hot chips next time to make up for lack of lunch today

Award for best colour combo goes to Zeocen though, surrounded by the Mav Mobile and two ZZR250's, his black bike was complimented rather nicely by his green appearance... muhahaha...

Great to meet up with you guys again, thanks to all who came along. It was a nice ride, got to play with the new bike a bit and get to know each other a bit better, lots of fun had.
Lunch as usual was very nice, my mouth is watering again just thinking about it ;)

Keep you chin up Chickadee, It could have been any one of us, at least there appears to be no serious damage, hope you arent too bruised.

Will try run another run sometime in the near future as work/etc allows, look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I was content after smacking my ass and making you eat my dust..... until you rode up next to me stroking your bike as we were riding haha.

Very fun ride, first time I've been on the Hunua roads, they're great! Taking the corners into Kaiaua pretty much reinforced the need to get a bigger bike, fast. Although it was still a hell of a lot of fun! Probably the best/funnest ride I've been on so far(and I really need to learn to get some sleep the night before so I'm not falling asleep at BP haha).

Fricken ZZR's, just wait.. my time will come, oh yes. It will.

Yes you boys and stroking your tanks, I did a bit of that today to be one of the guys I must admit. Couldn't burp like donor though, too much skill for me there.

Sorry to hear about your bin Chick. But no-one has asked the most important question: How is the jacket????

I was planning to come out today, been having withdrawals from KB rides, but it just wasnt my day. Still jetlagged/depressed about being back at work, and the night shifts they stuck me on just took it right out of me. I know Donor has the backbone to show up after working all hours, but I think if I'da come out today I might have joined you in the gravel!

I'm gutted!

I agreed to play golf that weekend with me mate that I barely see these days.

Added to that, I haven't golfed in a couple of months, and am itching for a game.

But a ride, a ride to for'n parts nonetheless! I am mortified at the prospect of missing it.

So do I upset the apple cart, and drop out of the group of beer swilling golfers, thus impacting further on my plummeting handicap, or park Rosey for the day, and lose cred, respect, and another chance of taunting zeocen with a shiny bike again!

Woe unto me! :crybaby:

But a ride, a ride to for'n parts nonetheless! I am mortified at the prospect of missing it.

So do I upset the apple cart, and drop out of the group of beer swilling golfers, thus impacting further on my plummeting handicap, or park Rosey for the day, and lose cred, respect, and another chance of taunting zeocen with a shiny bike again!

Woe unto me! :crybaby:

Go to golf.......you might score under 100 cos the fairways are soooooo dry....

Yeah right... like anyone has ever carded sub 100... no one has, ever... have they?

Oh shit, am I as bad as I think?

Curses for having friends who lie to me!

Ah screw it, at least I don't have to drive (unintentional pun!), thus more liberty at the 19th for me...

Wasn't there a recent post about ... "Trackdays ... because golf is for ..."

Nah, good on ya for developing interests outside of biking ... just don't blame me when you start thinking how good a motocross bike would do on the greens :innocent:
