TRN'S WEATHER WATCH CENTRE has issued a STORM ALERT for AUCKLAND CITY.
Another front bringing severe weather will cross Auckland this afternoon and evening. Heavy showers are likely to contain hail and thunder, with severe gales in squalls gusting to 130km/h. Winds this strong can cause damage to houses, fell trees and make driving extremely hazardous. Boaties should check moorings urgently. Squalls could be very similar to last night's storm. The strongest squalls will ease late this evening. This severe weather is likely to affect many other regions across the country. MetService has issued 12 severe weather warnings for the country.
