I salute you.
Been suckered into working today and tomorrow in a dirty big warehouse, solo charge and with sod all to do.
So it's me, my laptop and some kick ass speakers listening to Gate Crasher all day.
Might chuck a harness on later and cane a stock picker up and down the aisles later to make it look like a productive day though... but that could mean getting my hands dirty taking the b'stard off the charger...
To all those working this weekend, may your day be as cruisy, and your eventual ride time be equally relaxing.
(If anyone is swinging through Mt Wellington with a spare feed of McD's, feel free to pop in and say hi! :D )

great stuff..
im working the weekend too... I get to look after the mentally ill for 12 hours... always a good laugh. Prob end up doing what I normally do, sit down in the lounge and watch tv with my patients all day. Cook a big feed for lunch, then fill out my time sheet - cos im gunna get paid! heheh
...all fun and games till they get bored and try and stab me with a plastic spoon or something equally boring.
packed my top box with bike mags...
Go the weekend! :Punk:

I could always go up and count them close up.
Flying paper planes from a stock picker 19 metres up is always a good way to kill 10 minutes...
Mind you, I do get to go and make 3 deliveries throughout the day to the hospital, so that will add some zest to it all... [insert Tui ad]

Yay! I used to do similar when I worked for the IHC.
Worked in a low dependency house, so the clients pretty much did everything. I turned up, got fed, and went home.
Hell of a job that.

IHC? Thats very low dependency! Great fun though. I look after the 'severly disturbed' - usually custom made facilities with high security. On the outside it still looks like a 'normal' house but inside.... well...
plus turning up on my bike always puts the fear of god in my patients... :innocent:

This is only for 4 weekends.
It was a trade off, I want to go to the Track Day at Pukekohe on Monday, the boss wanted someone to work 4 weekends.
Bikes > Working a Monday so a no brainer really!

No wife, no kids, no hassles, no bloody door to door Kirby salesmen! (Buggers have been round 3 times in 2 days!)
Loud thumping techno/dance/trance music echoing through the warehouse (though the GnR and Metallica will play later...) and most of all, a pantload of management level coffee beans for me to tax all day long!
I almost feel guilty putting in a timesheet for this... naaaah... :)

i start at 7.30 tonight, finish at 0530 - last of a 7-on stretch. i then have 2 whole days to recover, then it's another set! not a bad run though - did a run to blenheim on monay night, timaru on wednesday night, auckland thursday. the only problem with going to auckland is that the new hiace van is a POS, and i refuse to speed while i'm getting paid by the hour.........

Screw that!
We do one Sunday a year for the MX5 club and thats all.
If I'm at work on a weekend its for my own projects.
Had a weekend job last year to help get the Daytona, now weekends are for riding, housework, keeping the car alive, and sitting on my ass drinking with mates...
But we all have bills to pay...
And I have a few looming...
Might just go make a quick call...

I hope the patients didn't escape. My brother-in-law works for IHC and he brought some patients around to my house in a van.....they scared the fuck out of me.

Well, day 2.
Thank god me weekend starts after today, 2 days at Puke race track Mon Tue, huzzah!
Actually, though I know I will be beaten, Tuesday is a private cage hire at Puke, however the purpose is to raise money for Camp Quality, caring for kids with cancer.
If you're in the area, pop in, head to the infield and come see me to fork over some dosh. I'll be sitting in the big ambulance shaped thing.
Right, the Queen playlist is wearing down slowly - time for some Chemical brothers methinks...

And the band played on...
I think you're turning into that guy from The Shining ... but in reverse ... Too much play and no work turns Donor into ... oh crap ... gijoe1313! Takes one to know one I guess :innocent:
So where are you working, I may be tempted to pootle your way with Wendy's instead of McDees (and I don't mean McChickaJim)

Oh my god... does this mean I have to get in touch with my inner ricer??
Rosey is already blinged out - though the forklift here would look alright with some LEDs...
I'm in Mt Welly, across the road from the lovely odours of a meat works and fish processing plant. It's magic on a hot summers day!
(Edit: I will cage the box of parts around for a bacon and cheese burger!)

And just where is this magnificent emporium of dedication to employment renumeration located?
I may just be tempted to waft the smells of a porcine, moo-cow and ground grown wheat products in your direction at lunch!

Well, another weekend, another dollar. (Before tax that is)
Dragged my PC through today, and bigger speakers - my god the sound reverberates round here brilliantly!
Still, be nice to get back to a normal regime, hard thinking of today as 'my' Thursday...
