Ok, I think I need to get around to fixcing my bike.
Now what should I do?

The forks might be twisted, but it might be the mud guard or bars is twisted making it look like the forks are.

The fronk brake seems to be playing up because when i lock it fully, i can still drag the bike backwards ? :p

Those are the two major running problems, any advice?
Thanks :D

1. Get someone else to have a look at it too. They can also help you pull the front off and have a good look. It's always easier if you can find someone to help you out.

2. Take the front wheel off and spin it. Sometimes when the bike takes a hit it can warp the brake disc(s) and they can push back the brake pistons. When my rotors got twisted the brakes engaged and then didn't. When you spin the wheel you can see if the rotor is out of round.

I'd say you need to check the following things:

1. Brake rotor(s) for out of roundness
2. Forks for straightness
3. Triple clamps. If the forks are bent the triple clamps will be too.

You might as well do the bearings in the front wheel and the steering head while you're at it too, if you are feeling rich.

Worst case scenario:

New rotor(s)
New forks
new brake fluid/ bleed brakes

There was a guy on trademe selling forks for an fxr150 for $150. Parts seem a lot cheaper than bigger bikes that's for sure!

How'd this stuff happen?

Maybe the forks have just moved in the tripleclamps?

Can you push the bike forwards with the front brake held on? Are you sure the front tyre isn't just being dragged along the ground? (I know that happens with my bike when I'm reversing down the drive and use the front brake to stop) Or are the brakes not stopping the wheel from turning?

Take it into cyclespot, for $30 they'll give it a thorough once over and give you some quotes on prices aswell.
