View Full Version : Where do you blow off steam (1000 post!)

So for my 1000th post (sad bastard aint I?) I thought I'd ask the question. When you've had a rough day, where do you ride to blow off steam?

I find myself hitting the tukkas when I've had the prick, mother-in-law of a day and that always puts a smile on my dial. It helps that I live at the foot of it.

I'm sure Steam (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/member.php?u=7165) would be happy to be blown off where-ever you would like to do it.

Sorry folks.. In a funny mood. I'm hope Steam will not take too much offence...

Congrats on 1000 posts :)
I like to head out to Godley House, which is a restaurant / bar over the hill from Christchurch and around the inside bays of Banks Peninsula, at Diamond Harbour. The roads are busy on the weekends especially if it's nice weather, but during the week it's great for a blast. Doesn't take too long to get there either. If I'm looking for a longer ride I'll head to Akaroa instead. :niceone:

Yes. Oh seriously, Yes.

But I'm a little concerned, it was dark but I was sure you had tits. Great tits. Your profile indicates you are male, that can't be right. I was drunk but not THAT drunk.

When you've had a rough day, where do you ride to blow off steam?
Usualy in a Gym, beating the crap out of a Kick-Bag. (And yes Kicking IS not covered under the Anti-Smaking Bill).

Lets see, piha loop is good if you have a serious attitude problem.
ZXR with bald tyres - reaching speeds i havent even hit on the FZ, leaning on angles where you wonder when you run out of tyres.
Ahhhhhh the good old days when i was a stressed student, a family that had gone haywire, a girlfriend who was being as gentle as a fish-hook through the heart. I needed a reason to live.
Steved had those same tyres on teh bike when he got it.

Hey there big guy, welcome to the thread! Why you want the VTZ back? Yeah we need to catch up, I'll PM ya.

The VTZ loves the tukkas mate but I don't push it to the point of hurt. She's too good a bike to kill.

Saddle Road ( I live at the bottom of the hill :) ), or the Pahiatua Track if I've got a bit more time to spend on it. More as a distraction from whatevers bothering me than as anger managment, being as if I wasnt paying attention I'd be in the shit big time on either patch of road

Well, mine WAS going for a burn up the 'Takas on the V11.
However, as that's not presently possible, I think it will be taking the XR250 around Red-Rocks.... :scooter:

ditto here

not that i would ever commit suicide, but having a bike, i can just hop on it...and i'm free.

all alone on some remote road...

makes you enjoy life..

Where do I blow off Steam? Usually I just ignore him but anywhere really... just riding makes me feel better, if I am having a particularly crappy day or go to the gym. I like the Takas, want to someday scrap my pegs on it... nearly did on the GN.. once, other than that it was all boot.

It used to be the Piha road on my old RG years ago, but these days I seem to be drawn to SH16 and Woodcocks Rd to Warkworth. Quite nice for a serene stroll on the sedate ZX10R :sunny:
