two way's to look at it , pay a large child support payment, but when you see the kids , you don't have the money to spend on them , because your funds are limited . Pay a smaller amount and have funds available for your children, such as school fees and there other requirements. Biggest problem is that the ex, if she is working gets your full payment , and you still get asked to pay for more. You do not want to hurt your children so you pay more and more , the kids win no matter what in most cases, and i say most cases. There are fathers out there that need to take a good look at themselves. and some money hungry woman as well:Pokey:

It is that point where she is supported by a new partner that seems really rude to have to keep up such a high level of payment... maybe havle it at that point or have the funds go into trust for the child only? Surely they can organise their own financial affairs and allow you to get on with life!

Goodwill is paramount with voluntary agreements and new partners have an influence because possibly they have children who they see as missing out because of the level of c/s going out and some new partners don't see it as their job to help support a new partners children even though they have invited them to live with them. It's hugely complicated and that is where IRD can step in and make a determination in the interests of the children. However, they can only assess the liable parent and not joint household income. So potentially a separated father can have a good lifestyle with a high a earning spouse, but be earning very little taxable income thru a business or whatever. That's when the s**t hit's the fan with the ex.:bash:

Yea, I know wot you mean, I do look after my kids in that way which isnt always a good thing. But my son at 16 is the head instructor of his own Taekwon-Do club and also head instructor of a couple of kickboxing clubs, he has spent alot of time giving back to other ppl I feel that he sort of deserves that extra help from me, my son has fought at world level a few times now and all the time he was training for it he missed out on the social side. Both my kids are hopefully heading for kickboxing world champs this year. BUT still cant wait til they leave home LOL LOL, Cowboy I wish you luck, lots of it just remember this advice, whilst I will never disown my kids my wallet is more than happy too!!

E49 Charger, what a beast fond memories. Kids, we had 6 between us, 4 boys, who just loved borrowing our work vans when we weren't home. Been called to salvage them from all over the Waikato, rooted clutches from wheelies, on their side or upside down in ditches. And thats not even counting the cars they been thru, which of course we go guarantor on the loan for, after 2 or 3 weeks they can't afford petrol or tyres or to make payments, I reckon I should have bought shares in UDC. Been the cause of many an argument between me and the wife.:bash:

Was my first time over 100mph + & my first speeding ticket:doh:
Luckly I was only clocked at 80mph:spudflip:
Great days , my old man brought himself a 1972 , 265 pacer , 4 speed box , damn that thing could go.Took a mate for a ride one nite i don't think he had ever been over 70mph, time we hit the end of the north western at 115MPH , he had left finger dents in the dash:clap:, the other cars was 2X 1960 Plymouth with the wings, in black of course. He used them as wedding cars. Should of put the pacer up against the charger. Bit like a sports bike up against a cruiser:Oops: TALKING ABOUT BIKES AGAIN

Still haven't seen the 08 M109R with the more 'traditional' headlight hit the stores yet.
I feel the need to add some bits on - got the wider rear tyre - now just need some bling to keep my magpie like tendancies satisfied. Picked up some decent summer gloves too. Me old winter ones are off getting repairs since the stiching has worn through.
