Wanted - ZXR250 Engine

I accidently blew up Phoenix's ZXR 250 yesterday while "cruising" down the motorway.

Broke a con arm and blew a piston, as well as a hole in the crankcase, and cracks throughout.

So any ideas on where I can get an engine from?

Im going to attempt at rebuilding the bike :innocent:

I have one you can have.
It's rough, don't know whats wrong with it, but maybe you can do something with it...up to you, it's probably more hassle than its worth.
Pay for shipping to whatever hillbilly town you live in, hell I'll even chuck in some free sti's.

Why do you have to pay for it Kitty? Assuming you weren't thrashing the balls off of it or treating it unfairly then it is surely just bad luck that you were riding when you blew it up?

When i screwed Hurricane_r's CBR engine that was because it over heated due to lack of water which was my fault.

I'm guessing you guy's are working something out but don't feel as though you need to take the full hit. It has been crahsed and raped thorougly before you rode it remember.

And probably not a bad idea to take Sallo up on that engine. Just make sure it is for an A model otherwise you will need to get all the ZXR250C gear to make it run (might have to check this)... i dont think she's lying about the sti's either :shit:

When I left his place I noticed every time I came off the throttle it made a clicking noise. I filled up and headed off down the motorway. 20 mins into riding I decided to see how fast the bike could go. Got to a tadd over 99 and then the engine rattled and parts flew off the bike.
It shouldnt have gone that quick. I could understand if I was doing 150 for hours then it would have strained the bike and done something drastic.
But not that soon.

I agree with R6_kid.
The sort of devastation you described is more in line with years of abuse not a spirited ride.
If you crashed it I would understand your eagerness to shell out.
If you road down to the south island and back without oil, ditto.

I would not let you pay if it were mine.

it's alright i'm trying to bail kittyhawk out by purchasing said zxr as it seems unfair to her, and i like me zxr250's

still after an engine, regardless of whether i buy it or she keeps it.
